Bummed but win the next 2 and blue skies all around heading into 2 tough ones. Still moderately concerned with recruiting, especially on the defensive side of the ball. ASSU is killing us in that aspect I'm liking what I'm seeing defensively. At corner McCall is improving and growing up fast. Denso...

Re: Official Anu Solomon Appreciation Thread
Throws were off, the line was not playing well at all, passes dropped, untimely penalties (the OPI against Grant was a game changer)... Solomon didn't play well but no one else on offense did either. Part of the learning curve.

Since he's been here, the team has always responded well after a loss. In 2012 they took Stanford to OT on the road after getting blown out in Autzen. After the UCLA shellacking that year they then won the next two, including on the road at Utah. Last year after Washington they shook off the rust af...

I think, while he's trying to win every damn game he can this year, that he's also playing Solomon with an eye towards the future. Hence the amount of pass attempts. He knows the team is good this year but that they've got a chance to do huge things the next two years. Solomon is gaining a ton of ex...

Re: Every. Damn. Time.
That 70 yard pass wasn't the dagger, the offense's play was the dagger. To that point UCLA only has 10 points, and you can't expect the defense to hold them completely down the whole game. If your defense holds a team like that to 17 you should win. I still think one of the biggest plays of the game...

Not a lot (except on third and long... third and one or two and they'll stop you cold but third and 17, move those chains.) The defense has been improving as the season goes on. They've already matched last year's sack total. The two losses this year are not on the defense; they've given the offense...

The passes where he throws it on the run right before he gets to the line of scrimmage are simply deadly. (As ESPN put it, attachment plays.) The one thing these rankings tell us is that no matter what we think this team is or isn't capable of, they have a shot to play for this. And at this point that's all you can ask.

Most teams that hold Washington State to 24 points win handily. It's not like they dominated the Cats last year by putting up video game numbers. The Cats offense fell flat, they gave the ball away, and you have to give credit to Wazzu for a solid game plan and for executing that plan. WSU is danger...

I'm thinking a lot of money is going to go to Arizona and the line will move accordingly. Not saying Arizona is going to necessarily blow the Cougs out, but I can see a lot of bettors taking the Cats at 4 thinking they'll win by a TD.

The Cats' corners have actually been pretty effective against bubble screens. The problem for passing defense has been over the middle. QBs are finding wide open guys in the flat. Bingo. It shouldn't have even gotten to that point - Arizona had their chances to win this game long before that kick.
