Re: Rich Rod

Yeah I don't doubt RichRod's intensity and I know he understands the importance of the ASU game to the fan base. Just because the guy can tell a joke doesn't mean he doesn't care. Talking about beating ASU is irrelevant and actually is counter-productive. Talking about beating them just elevates the...

Re: Rich Rod

The "who gives us the best chance to win now" question has to be the only question that matters in figuring out the starter. RR can't sacrifice wins now for (potential) future wins later. If there's two or more guys who are pretty much equal, then yeah, Anu should be the guy as that will help us the...

Re: Moving to Phoenix

Or, just wait for the torrential rainfall that is hitting my house presently. That is one of the big differences between PHX and Tucson, though. During the day, 5 degrees hotter. At night, 10-15 degrees hotter. Sucks - absolute worst part of living here IMHO. I can deal with 110 in the day but 90+ w...

Re: 2016 Recruit/Commitment Thread

Wow, is this gonna blow up the 2015 recruiting class ? :( I would like to think that the 2015 LA recruits are way more about Magee and virtually nothing to do w/ Patterson - at least, that's the way I've read it. But perhaps that's just me comforting myself. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_r8pvZUPNybc/S_...

Re: Moving to Phoenix

The neighbors on both sides of me as well as across the street were all born and raised in Phoenix. One of my neighbors recently moved back from California and bought a house that is a 30 second walk from the house she grew up in. (Neighbor across the street flies an ASU flag, I don't talk to him.)

happy for CITH for sure. but there's a reason why no one I grew up with or went to college with has stayed in phoenix very long except for the mormons who have had their families there for 3+ generations. Hmm. Replied to Merkin's post but seems to have disappeared into the aether. alieberman said it - there's plenty in PHX for you regardless of what your particular "thing" might be, though you might have to look for it. It is fair to say that on a per-capita basis, PHX has fewer "interesting" neighbo...

Wow that is one brutal schedule. Also, this game scares me.... just a little. Where it lands in the schedule scares me. It's plausible that we could come into that game with as few as two losses. Week before would hopefully be a nice win over UW at home, so we could be coming in to that game feelin...

Thanks for your service, Boat. Great post - I have been a Cat fan since '86 and you capture a lot of what it means to follow Arizona football. If we are the scrappy underdogs but can win a couple of conference championships being that way (i.e. just getting over that final hump that the 93 and 99 te...

Don't have any facts to back it up (Winger where are you?), but it seemed last year the Cats blitzed a lot more from the 3-3-5 than they did the year before. Hopefully even more so this year. I think it was just a matter of having the personnel to make the rush possible without getting burned over ...

I don't think they are making a big enough deal about ASU's defense losing a lot of talent, especially in an offense happy PAC. I agree, but given that they won more by outscoring people last year and have most of the key offensive weapons back, I could see where the pundits could look past their d...

Programs that I think may be of interest to Rich Rod (Florida, Tennessee, LSU) would NEVER hire him. Especially Tennessee, which had its chance this season.
