Not surprised with UCONN. Not sure the math works out. UCONN certainly adds value for both men's and women's basketball. But the rest of their athletic department leaves plenty to be desired, and they add travel costs to a good portion of the conference which is centered around the state of Texas.

Average NBA regular season game averages over 1.5 million tv viewers. Average NCAA Basketball game is around 300,000. March Madness gets millions of viewers. But regular season NCAA Basketball games are rarely the top rated for any given day. Too much competition from NBA and even the NHL.
