Re: 2014 NBA Offseason

Nice number for buyers in market. He's a near all-star PG and got less than 50 over 4.

It's a nice number for both sides.

Re: News Talk vs Sports Talk?

Cyclical news of any sort is brain-killing. Much prefer NPR-style formats for any content. I always listen to KTAR sports when driving and hearing the same news 3/4 times over a 2/3 hour period is mind numbing.

Pretty sure it's a rule you can't have "boobs" in the title without actually having boobs in the thread. If it's not a rule, it damn well should be.

This thread should now be a tribute to boobs she doesn't think her husband needs to see!

Re: 2014 NBA Draft

Save for college experiences, it was unlikely Johnson's stock would improve, as he wouldn't have had the stats from a lesser offensive usage and would have played even less PG than last year. Unless he grew 2 inches or more or became Salim as a senior, it just isn't realistic to think his range next...

It's all about asset acquisition right now.

They'll suck again next year, but end up with a top-3 in a solid draft, likely go for a true PG or SF.

Outside of not trying to acquire Hood, I think their draft was pretty perfect.

Re: 2014 NBA Offseason

Some weird rumblings about Harden being traded for either Carmelo or James and then small deals using picks/prospects to jettison Lin, then use CAP to sign the other of the pair.

If they can get closer to 38-40 million, it's doable.

It would basically leave just Beverly in the backcourt.

The lakers ego being what it is, if they want to reclaim LA I could easily see them go all in on Anthony/James, likely the only team that can unite the pair.

Young/Lowry isn't winning shit in the west. Not even with 2010 Kobe.

In all seriousness, the Suns should really consider re-acquiring Nash from the Lakers by absorbing his salary free and clear, swapping #7 for #18.

Lakers can't sign two max contracts without ridding themselves of both Nash and the cost of a top-7 pick's salary.

It's all happening! McDonough's master plan is now feasible! 1. Acquire LeBron James' little buddy, Eric Bledsoe. 2. Construct a team full of passers, shooters, finishers. 3. Completely disagree. I think the strength of this draft is it's secondary depth from 8-20, and it's rotation player depth from about 20-45. You're wrong on Hood. He's an elite shooter, 50+ from midrange, 40+ from three, has great height at 6-8+ in shoes, and well above average leaping at 29/36. You're crazy not to like Hood. His offense has very few limitation, and he's a smooth athlete. Not long, but quick. His jumper is money, and his three-point shot is strong. Add strength, build dribble, he's an All-Star. SF version of Klay Thompson, to be honest. Young is intriguing, as his perimeter...

Foolishness. Went from 50-Undrafted pre-tournament to possible top-20 post-tournament?

I could see a team like Chicago or Boston liking him 16/17/19, but that's about 10 spots high for what was a slight reach by 10 slots even in the 25-30 range.

I don't think the Suns use both 14 and 18 on college players. If they can't trade up, I expect:

1. 14 (best available wing)/18 (best foreign)
2. 14 (best available wing)/18 (trade down/out)

Only way is if they have a trade in place beyond draft night or a prospect shockingly slips.

They love his Dragic-like game.

I'm hearing he'll be gone. There's a chance as early as LA if Smart/Exum aren't there, but also linked to Kings, Hornets, 76ers.

My guess is Harris or Hood, the latter making the most sense unless the pick is for a future deal or signals a deal involving Goodwin.
