Welcome to the club. I'm 4 years, 1 month, and about 20 days into 99% WFH. I absolutely could never go back to an office environment.

Re: Solar Panels
We used Technicians for Sustainability in Tucson and they were great. My system cost just under $12,000 and saved us $100/month. The economics have changed though as we had net metering. This gave us equal credit for when we sent energy back to the grid. They changed that a few years ago. Now most ...

I know some of you folks must have this and for some reason I couldn't find a dedicated thread. My TEP bill has become outrageous with how hot it's been the last few years. I had a new AC installed last September but not early enough to offset the cost of the blazing hot July and August so my budget...

Yea I bought in 2020 just as prices were lifting off and right before rates bottomed out. My mortgage is $1400 but if I bought my exact house today it'd be more like $2500.

Hell even in Tucson. The median home price is $330k. That works out to a mortgage payment if about $2400/month. The median gross household income is $51k. So net, that's about $3k a month. That's 80% of your net income on your mortgage alone. Rent isn't much better with a measly 2 bedroom going for ...

28 days of PTO, 6 sick days, 11.5 paid holidays for me. Plus 6 weeks parental leave. Any unused PTO rolls into a medical reserve account. I'm probably in the top 10% when it comes to paid time off and if this was Europe I'd still be getting the bare minimum.

What method do you use? I use Kenji's oven "fried" one where you use salt and baking powder to dry brine the wings in the fridge for a day in advance then bake them in a convection oven. Just as good as any fried wing I've had. Much cheaper too.

We crossed the Rubicon on college football not being just the NFL minor leagues about 20 years ago. Money and winning are the only important factors. Period. It's a multi-billion dollar business and anyone who thinks it's about the student athletes or traditions or loyalty is stuck in the 80s.

In 39 years of full time professional life, I've taken a total of less than three days off as sick leave. Just wasn't raised that way. To me, if you have the sniffles, get your ass up and go to work.
