Re: 2014 NBA Draft
Completely disagree. I think the strength of this draft is it's secondary depth from 8-20, and it's rotation player depth from about 20-45. I think it's slightly overrated as an elite draft class, mostly because while the top is strong, it is starting to remind me of the 1999 class with tons of qua...

Re: World Cup 2014
I'm having trouble picturing your lineup here as Cameron will be starting at center back. Sorry, I was talking about how if we start Zusi, we can help overload on the left side to help Johnson against Ronaldo. Cameron can slide over to help at times, while Beckerman falls right in front of where Ca...

Re: World Cup 2014
Start Zusi, control the midfield, lock up the central defense, dont let Ronaldo run at Johnson and get the W. Win and we are in. If you would have given me those odds last December, after the first match, I would have gladly taken them. You have to start Bedoya over Zusi. Zusi is a massive defensiv...

Re: 2014 NBA Draft
6-6 uber athlete... Drool But he's 2/3 years away, minimum, from much of anything in both physique and skillset. The question then becomes, why would you draft him? He's young (19 right?) and waify for a 19 year old. It could easily end up being three or four years (until he's 22 or 23 years old) u...

Re: 2014 NBA Draft
Harris and Hood fills the defensive roles needed and both are two way players. That's a very good draft. I still don't think the Suns should get in the Love sweepstakes. I debated with DJ Foster who agreed with Lowe, that the Suns should get Love. I think they should develop their picks this season ...

Re: 2014 NBA Offseason
18 pts, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists a game gets you a max contract? Fortunately, its the rookie max, which is much lower. Still, I don't think Bledsoe is worth the max, let alone Thompson. We will see who pays to get/keep him and at what cost. To me, he doesn't create enough offense to warrant anywhe...

Re: 2014 NBA Offseason
Gentry was an EXCELLENT hire by Doc Rivers and is an even better hire for Kerr. Gentry has a way of connecting with his players, developing trust and putting them in the best situation to succeed. He will absolutely bring some much needed creativity to the Warriors struggling offense. Furthermore, d...

Re: 2014 NBA Draft
Payne is an instant impact stretch 4 and there are not many in the entire draft. He can come in and stretch the floor and defend his position well. He might not be a high upside guy, but I see him having slight Taj Gibson impact. Can do a bit of everything and fills a role immediately. Harris strugg...

Re: 2014 NBA Draft
No chance he slips past Boston at 6, unless the reports after the surgery are bad. We don't know if his back was healed, if this foot fracture is due to his back injury or if it was a freak accident and he will be fine. Lots of things up in the air, but unless its bad news post surgery he wont fall ...

Re: 2014 NBA Offseason
Not a good deal for Minnesota, other than they get talent to win now
That said, they are taking on Lee's salary, might have to pay Klay the max and have one of the worst defensive frontcourts with Lee and Pekovic.
Not a big fan of this deal, but wow what a move if the GSW can pull it off.

Re: 2014 NBA Offseason
Why would the Heat keep Wade if they don't have to? Sentimentality. Wade will never get what he's due with the Heat on the open market. I would think the only way is for LeBron to talk him into it. The smartest move for LeBron is to opt out and begin negotiating seriously with Cleveland or LA. Put ...

That said: Does Carmelo consider himself anything other than a #1? Is Carmelo actually gonna take...

Re: Uber
I love it. I can go nearly anywhere I want near my place in SD for a $7 uber rider (downtown excluding). I have used Lyft as well, just as convenient, but seemed a little more expensive. Definitely do not take the Uber SUV unless you are splitting the cost or not going that far. Racked up an $75 rid...

Re: 2014 NBA Offseason
Just a note on the Heat courting Melo... It certainly is possible. If Anderson and Haslem don't opt out and the Heat keep their 1st round pick, they renounce everyone else (including Wade, Bron and Bosh) they can pay $12.5 mil starting, each, for Wade, LeBron, Bosh and Melo. LeBron just netted a coo...

Wade was goo throughout the playoffs, but too many games against high level competition without multiple days off show just how weak his knees are.

Adam Silver needs to get off his ass and complete the 2 year rule. And SJ better not pull a Jennings after 1 year Unfortunately, I have a feeling he will be pretty busy dealing with Sterling over the next 3-6 months to even think about changing this rule. Sterling will be out by the start of free a...

Re: Suns Offseason Thread
Without assurances from Love that he would re-sign, the Suns should keep their picks and try to nail a few of them. Save your cap space, develop your young players and remain flexible. For all the times that Daryl Morey struck out, it only takes one trade/sign and trade/free agent signing to turn th...

Re: Suns Offseason Thread
Not even sure a Love/Bledsoe combo is much better than what Minnesota has.
Bledsoe and Dragic worked very well together, I think the Suns can eventually get a star player, but I dont think giving up that package helps them much at all.
