Re: Lets Talk '24

What do the people who run the NIL collectives say about Love returning? Lloyd still can't offer NIL money, but can only offer negotiating assistance with the player and the collective.

Although like tampering, it seems like a wink wink rule.

Re: Lets Talk '24

Just that if he does come back, I don't expect anything to change. Love is 23, and has been playing elite level NCAA basketball longer than Lloyd has been a head coach at any level. In any event, Lloyd's 3 transfer recruits last year were all signed in May, and no doubt things are in the works no on...

I was referring to the conference as a whole. B12 paying out $31.6M per school, and the Big 10 will be paying out at least $65M.

Like Arenas mentioned, UCLA has the best of everything already.

You need potential NBA players to go far in the tourney. Easy choice then.

And if he isn't a 1&D, then we get years out of him, not just one more like you get with Love.

We all did, Irish. But even when I was there (late 90s/early 00s), college hoops had already started its transformation into a de facto minor league for the NBA (or pro leagues internationally). Yea, that's not happening. Fisch could use the excuse that he didn't know about the rape until after JDL was already enrolled as a student, but Brennan can't use it and it probably never came up in discussion.

If of all people Fisch won't pick up JDL to backup Rogers, then you know he is toxic.

Pelle must have signed with a non-NCAA approved agent, that is an automatic disqualifier. I imagine Love's agent is on the NCAA approved list.

I guess you have to be a Mormon to be a BYU coach. Don't think any other religious schools require the coach to be the same religion as the school sponsor.

Only 2 years coaching in college, all the rest have been in different pro leagues so very limited recruiting experience.

Keshad 5/20/23

Bradley 5/3/23

If that pattern holds true for this upcoming season, still a lot of major changes to the roster that can happen.
