Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble?
I know personally that majority of the uCla fan base is uninspired by their head coach... With that said, I believe that this extension could not have happened at any other time. I don't see them having a better year this than last. UCLA has a very difficult schedule, and a young, unproven team. I ...

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble?
Alford at UCLA relegates that program to second tier status for the near and distant future. He's no better than the 5th best coach in his own league. Can't imagine that sets well with UCLA fans.

Depends entirely on whom they add to their 2015 class, and where they finish this season.Olsondogg wrote:Alford's seat hot after this year?
Even it's a disaster, he's got at least one more year to right the ship. Two straight years of missing the tourney, and I think he'd be done.

It's starting to seem like whoever commits first gets the 'ship. Rabb is and always has been Plan A, but Zimm is probably a close second, followed by Bragg. I think Coach would be very happy with any of these three. How many more scholarships do we have to offer for '15?

It seems infrequent that guys will pull the trigger right after an in home, especially when they've got other in homes lined up with sexy programs. It's like they want to soak up all the love and hospitality possible, even when they've known for months where they're going.

Yeah, no chance both Zimmermann and Rabb both come here, and don't hold your breath on SZ at all. Definitely more of a "who commits first" scenario, and both recruits understand and have known this since Miller's first interaction with them. I'll take Rabb, please. No offense to SZ. So basically, UCLA is getting whomever Miller isn't recruiting? Is that what it's gotten to? Well, it's not like they're getting kids that Miller IS recruiting. It would be crazy, though, if somehow Rabb, Brown, and Zimmerman all end up in the Pac. Not to mention the rest of our stellar '15 class.

The way I see it, Miller's got until February to get his rotations figured out (though it probably won't take that long), make sure everyone knows their role and "buys in," and get them to play with a chip on their shoulder. We need to be nasty. Aside from that, our guys just need to stay healthy, p...

Took Bo Ryan over a decade to reach the FF. Granted, Wisconsin doesn't get the same level of talent that we do, but there's a rather long list of good coaches who either took a long time to reach the FF, or worse, never reached the FF. I do think Miller gets there this year, however. Too much MASSIV...

So it's looking like Gabe vs. KA will be one of the biggest battles for PT this year. If our starting backcourt is TJ and SJ, that leaves Gabe, KA, and Pitts competing for time as backups. Not even sure where this leaves PJC. We'll have a lot of guard depth this season.
