Finally I can stop checking this thread every hour.
Oh well, would have been a nice get. Not in the cards.
Great get by coach Kwanza.

RISKY hire.......For Hurley.
The ASU job is the kiss of death. Poor guy looked like he had promise, hopefully he's smart enough to negotiate a favorable termination payment.

Memo to Impatient Players: Why put up with this when you can get paid for playing in front of small crowds that smell like cologne between bus rides in Turkey? I actually lived in Turkey for two years.........and I rode the bus on occassion. The smell on Turkish buses is definitely NOT like cologne...

I'm totally excited about my new terracotta smoker project, Gato. Thanks for that. I've always been aware of the flour and cattle ranching heritage of Sonora and its impact on Sonoran food (which I love and miss, BTW), but the ideological division you're describing is something I didn't appreciate ...

Way to cook it up, BearDown89! Mass-produced foods are totally a legit cooking ingredient. As for the huitlacoche, it's a food for everybody, not just an adventurous travel eater like BearDown89. It isn't strange, you don't have to "develop a taste for it", and it isn't sophisticated. It's just str...

I don't suppose anybody here was in Phoenix in the 60s and/or 70s. There was a local restaurant chain called "Hobo Joe's". Hobo Joe dressed and equipped himself exactly like gato describes. He was described as a "world traveler, philosopher, and connoisseur of good food". http://www.weirdus.com/sta...

Retread City. You're best hope is to negotiate a big buyout for an inevitable early termination.
I'm pretty sure the line of candidates outside the Athletic department could be confused with a casting call for extras on the walking dead.

I can't fathom this idea about living wherever you want to just because of the place. "Why don't you move back home to Santa Barbara?" "And be what? A hobo?" I have no applicable skills. Some people say you shouldn't put barbecue sauce on beef ribs, but I think they're saying that just to feel better about themselves. The right bbq sauce on beef ribs is the key.
