Volleyball: Cats beat ASU

VB wins 3-2, 15-13 in the 5th game.
Game was on PAC-12 Network. Looked like McKale was rocking.

First 1/2 point in the Territorial Cup Series to UA.

That was a great, great match. The cats had them down 4 match points in the 4th game but could not finish them.

Somehow we found the toughness to win game 5. We are in the lead for the territorial cup

Missed the first match but got a chance to see the rest. Awesome game. The defense looked bad the last 2 sets but Ashley was a huge part of that win...just wow.

Crowd was good too...a good 4000 on hand,most I've ever seen for a UofA volleyball game.

Was in attendance Wednesday night, great (if sloppy) match, good crowd, all in all a great time.

Halli Amaro was on fire in that game. Jacobsen too.

Setting left a little to be desired. Madi was inconsistent too, but aside from Game 4 showed up when it mattered the most. ASU, to be honest, is a really solid squad, especially up front, although their defense wavered at times.

Clean up a couple of things, and I think UA has the goods to potentially go deep in the NCAAs.

BYU beat Nebraska last night and have advanced to the final four. Jennifer Hamson is a player. She was also drafted by the LA Sparks last year. Would like to see the underdog(BYU) win. Also, losing to the champs wouldn't be too bad.

BYU beat Texas in four sets and became the first unranked team to make it to the women's volleyball championship.
