alps plane crash

After years of no major crashes there has been like 6 in two years. An Airbus 320 disappeared like 7000 feet up in the French alps. Already been crews on scene for a few hours and they apparently found the black box already. No survivors expected out of the 150 aboard.

Those photos have already been proven to be fakes or pictures of other random crashes
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

Report out that one pilot was locked out of the cockpit as the plane descended.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

If it turns out the copilot did a suicide job, I wonder what the next round of severe over-reacting airline policies will be?

The investigators have done a good job so far, but their hands were turned when the nyt leaked the pilot being locked out of the cockpit information.

All I used to worry about was snagging my fair share of the armrest. Now I have to worry about pilots with weak bladders and suicidal co-pilots? Ugh...

2014 was the safest year on record for commercial aviation. People like to overreact to CNN hype.

New reports Saturday say Andreas Lubitz -- the co-pilot who crashed a jet into a French mountainside early Tuesday -- had been dumped by his girlfriend a day before the crash, was being treated for depression and was possibly facing the loss of his job over eye problems.

The new revelations emerged four days after the tragedy and painted a picture of a troubled man whose world, carefully hidden from his employer, friends and colleagues, was coming apart over a broken romance, mental illness and vision issues before the crash of Germanwings Flight 9525 that killed 150 people.

It was unclear if Lubitz’s eye difficulties were serious enough to ground him, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing a source who said investigators only know that Lubitz had been examined by an eye specialist and that the appointments appeared to have taken place at University Hospital Dusseldorf.

Taken on a cell phone, the video "was so chaotic that it was hard to identify people, but the sounds of the screaming passengers made it perfectly clear that they were aware of what was about to happen to them," according to the French magazine Paris Match, which obtained the video along with the German newspaper Bild.

"One can hear cries of 'My God' in several languages. Metallic banging can also be heard more than three times, perhaps of the pilot trying to open the cockpit door with a heavy object. Towards the end, after a heavy shake, stronger than the others, the screaming intensifies. Then nothing,"
