Fillet-o-Fish

You've had enough time. What's your conclusion about this sandwich?

Not good.

I saw an ad from Carls Jr. that showed a Red Hook beer battered fish sandwich. Intriguing....

Used to love the McDonald's one as a kid, but can't eat it now.

Did have a Carl's Jr one the other day which was rather tasty since it was a real fillet, not processed crap.

Haven't had one since 1987. True story.

The Culver's Cod Sando looks tasty in the ads. As does Carl's Jr Red Hook offering.

Erlich Bachmann: Richard wrote the code, yes, but the inspiration was clear. Let me ask you something. How fast do you think you could jack off every guy in this room? Cause I know how long it would take me. And I could prove it.

My sister had that the other day and it was gross. Which is surprising since usually Red Robin is solid.

Never understood why the Filet O'Fish had cheese on it. The few I've had I have asked them to hold the processed cheese-like orange stuff.

I think it's the greatest composition of artificial, mass-produced flavor, texture, and aroma ever made.

If you've never had a Fillet-o-Fish, or haven't had one since 1987, it's time to eat a Fillet-o-Fish. I haven't had one since August. It is time.

A Catholic staple for decades where we couldn't eat meat on Fridays all year round, now it's just during Lent.

Best thing on the menu, especially since they often make it after you order. Bonus: I've reached the age where it actually fills me up (a former drawback ).
Right where I want to be.

Just get the fish and chips. Why mess it up?

It fit my occasional sea-bug meat quota. Fish (being not sea-bug) and chips don't do that.

I obsessively miss the calamari steak sandwich at the Paradise Cafe in Santa Barbara.

Exactly, they make them "fresh" usually. The bun is always steamy too. I get them from time to time. I've never had such a sandwich anywhere else.

It's cheap, it fills me up, it's the only fast-food sandwich on the menu that's somewhat healthy for you. What's not to eat?

They bring me back to my childhood. We rarely ate McDonalds when I was a kid, but when we did, my father would always get the Filet-o-fish and I would try to be like him and get one. I get one every two years or so and always enjoy it, and I hate McDonalds outside of their breakfast menu.

Speaking of fish, I hate not having a Long John Silvers in Tucson. I last had it about a year ago in Chandler and I went crazy on a two-fish combo with hushpuppies.

I remember seeing that in DC a few weeks ago. But I wasn't going to waste one of my few meals in DC on McDonalds

Some states still have the bagel breakfast sandwiches... Last time I had one of those was in 07 or 08 in NYC. Those are great too. There was a McDonalds in Scottsdale off Hayden road that sold them up til a few years ago. Other than that, haven't seen them offered in Arizona in 10 years probably.

It's amazing with all the foodies we have that the filet-o-fish is getting such good press.

Huh, didn't realize they weren't offered everywhere. They still have them here in Indiana. I usually get the steak.

I'm here for 2.5month and walk past union station twice a day on my route home.

I'm going to treat myself to a totally bad for myself snack every now and then.
