My daughter and her hubby lived in SA while he was doing some training at the army base there. Rained 29 out of their first 30 days there. That was during the drought buster year.

They loved the river walk though. Of all the places they lived, haven't found any place like it.

We live right on it, well, 26 floors above it. It's our daily walk, and at this time of year requires a re-breather and/or a set of gills. We sure miss the dry Dove Canyon air and counting Gila Monsters in March. Youse Arizonans on the board have my envy.

It being 108-117 for 2 weeks straight in Tucson is never worthy of envy, no matter how much humidity there is. Last couple weeks are the hottest I ever remember it being here.

Believe I read where June was the hottest in recorded history for Tucson.

The run of two weeks ago had to be the hottest week ever in Tuc.

The 100-106 forecasted over the next 2 weeks seems feels like a godsend. It's bearable when it actually is cool enough to get down into the 70s at night so my house can actually cool down a tiny bit and give the a.c. a break even for a few hours.

dew point and humidity are significantly higher today than even 48 hours ago. 57 degree dewpoint vs about 15 and 30% humidity vs about 5%. maybe something will happen soon?

All I got was crushing humidity and 10 seconds of a sprinkle. Monsoon 2017 has been terrible so far.

Yep. All that's happened thus far is a huge uptick in humidity and that 10 second sprinkle. Just enough to trash my car.

Until Friday or Saturday it was just 110 and hot and dry. Then overnight to Sunday and today it's now ridiculously humid but still 102.

Live in O.V. and I was awaken by a loud thunderstorm at 1:15 AM this morning. Hopefully this continues throughout the week, but not when I'm commuting to/from work. Bad drivers turn into even worse drivers.

If we're adding to a wish list, maybe the thunder could be some time when I'm not fast asleep, too. Heck, at least it finally rained.

I've had measurable rain at my house 6 of the last 7 days. Great start to the monsoon. If it is like I expect though it'll fizzle out in about a week.

2.28 inches between January 1st and July 9th.

3.25 inches between July 10th and July 16th.

I miss them too. Out here in Cali we only get the drizzly rains from Alaska, and only in the winter. Last rains are usually in March or early April and it won't rain again until late October or November.

However, it's nice you can make plans and not worry about getting rained out in the 6 dry months.

I know. I was waiting for my kid to get out of his HS football workout and the coach dragged it on for about an extra half hour talking about the upcoming day and NAU camps.

I was watching the storm build by Finger Rock and it rolled down hard. Rolling by La Paloma was brutal, low visibility and high water on the roads.
