Still the all time HR leader in my book. Seemed like a real nice guy too, and experienced awful racism especially when getting close to Ruth's record.

My wife worked with Larry King Jr. He was a really good guy who helped her in her career. He retired to run his dad's foundation. RIP Larry

RIP Screech

As a 6/7 year old visiting Bayside High with You, Zach, Lisa Turtle, the ageless Mario Lopez, and that Showgirls actress always made me feel cooler and a bit more grown up after I'd caught my usual round of Tailspin and Darkwing Duck.

I know it's kind of goofy but we have a separate thread for actors and musicians who have passed:

Way way too young.

Of course the Arizona connection is that his son pitched for us and he was a reporter for the Daily Star for a while.

RIP Pedro. My thoughts are with his family.

Actually didn't know he was still alive and so young. Recall Hustler quite well in the 1970's.

Is it weird I don’t brag about having photographed a Hustler cover model? It probably is. Anyways, thanks for allowing me to have that story topper, Larry. Hard to beat it unless you’ve actually made a porno. Haha

That cover is quite the trip seeing as War Machine is now serving 36 to Life for trying to kill Christie Mack and her boyfriend.

My right wing sister said “he fought so hard.” My reply was, “what? To get pills?”

I was told I was a horrible person. I’m fine with that!

My mom died from lung cancer. It's not one of the cancers that you beat, especially when you're diagnosed at stage 4. Maybe the new mrna technology or crispr will have some answers but as our medical knowledge stands now, it's a tough disease. After a while, my mom just got morphine to dull the pain

I think Wyo was referring to Rush's pill issue he had long before the cancer.

I was replying to his sister that he could fight as hard as he wants but it was mostly futile. Lung cancer at stage 4 is a death sentence and yes,Rush was a drug addict that was represented by the ACLU and somehow the party of family values was ok with that because he owned the libs before anyone else

Is pro bowling a thing anymore? Recall watching Earl Anthony a lot on TV when I was a kid. Only had 2 channels back then so choices were limited.

Met Irv Cross in Atlanta airport once on a layover of my 8th-grade trip to Washington, D.C., along with former CBS play-by-play man Tim Brandt.

The man was genuine class and absolutely commendatory. Totally motivated me to take up media as a career. I will ALWAYS remember that encounter and will never forget that man's rich baritone. RIP.
