That was the old Rillito Corridor which the citizens of Tucson voted down. "We don't want Tucson to grow". Well guess what?

Just looked and there was a proposal for a crosstown parkway in 1984, and another project voted down in 1986.

The River Road Parkway has already been built. It goes from The OG to Sabino Canyon. Huckleberry just built the damn thing through the RTA.

Looks like they are also studying a plan for I-11 to go from Nogales to Wickenburg.

I guess planning for the future growth on the west side of phx and northwest of Tucson. No water for those people though.
