It was pretty good. Wish they would use a little better bun as they immediately wrap the chili dog (which includes a slice of American cheese) in foil so the bun gets pretty soaked and starts to fall apart. The chili had a decent kick to it.

Thick slices of Barrio Bread spelt levain with butter, cheddar, and tomato. The tang from the long fermentation of spelt is unparalleled.

I’m so tired of turkey.

That being said, the Moist Maker is pretty killer.

Toast three slices of bread. Slather herb mayo (Dijon + fresh thyme/chives/parsley) onto two of the slices and soak the third piece in warmed up gravy. Put sliced turkey, warmed up mashed potatoes, & cranberry sauce onto a mayo’d bread slice, put the gravy bread slice on top, and then put some warmed up stuffing, arugula, and sliced tomatoes on top before covering with the other herb mayo slice of bread.

Add bacon to really make it amazing. And you’re welcome.

Carne asada caramelo and an al pastor taco with grilled pineapple from Rancheros Carniceria. Just opened last month near Speedway/Pantano. They do tacos, quesadillas, sonoran dogs, caramelos, tamales, birria and pozole on the lunch menu but they will also grill anything raw you buy in store. Salsa bar with free guac too.

It was really good. Tastes like pineapple, looks and feels like soft serve. $10 and almost as good as a piece of pineapple or a Dairy Queen undipped without a cone. Okay I don't really get the cult following.

It's back. It really was gone. I've never been to a new location in Phoenix but I heard it's still bad there.

When it was gone, I got a pina colada and the only fruit was the dry shredded coconut. No pineapple.

Slice and Ice FTW though.

I had lunch at Condado Tacos in downtown Pittsburgh. The place was packed. Everyone was excited to be eating tacos.

Every taco tasted the same. Disturbingly sweet in that gross way that Pace salsa tastes. Sweet corn in everything. No corn tortillas, except those industrial formed hard shells, like the ones made by Old El Paso, or else bad flour tortillas, or flour tortillas wrapped over a hard shell.

I've eaten there and thought the same thing. I had a consulting gig for 5 months in Pittsburgh and was actually surprised how their downtown was built up with a lot of new bars and restaurants.

Could never get over how they did their Pittsburgh sandwiches like Primanti Bros. Cole slaw and Fries on the sandwich?
