Tools and Power Tools Thread

I guess I can't live without a chainsaw? I have huge pine trees and oak trees that drop branches the size of normal trees all over my property (I'd call it a "yard", but that gives the impression of something manicured). What else am I supposed to do with all this, other than take a chainsaw to it all?

Any advice? Somebody recommended an electric chainsaw, claiming that I don't want to deal with too many gas-powered tools.

Am I going to chop off my leg with the damn thing?

As a recent purchaser of a chain saw, you definitely want gas. You can take my word for it, but you can also go to youtube and see the comparison videos.

Secondly, if your trees are that big and that high you might want to just hire a professional.

You should probably start with one of these.

I suspected I'd want gas.

I use pro arborists to cut down my trees and trim them, but they're not much good for the stuff that falls on the ground after a storm.

That's a cute little guy. He'd match my mower.

The tool I can't live without is my Triton Router.

My chainsaw is a little Ryobi Battery powered thing. I'm NOT a lumberjack and its OK... for cutting off the occasional limb.

I'll ask my wife. She's in charge of handling all of the big tools in our house.

Professor, you don't need a chainsaw . . . you need a fire pit.

Or go with a STIHL. Both really good options.
