Qantas has a new and they are going down the same route as Southwest.

They've turned away from experienced Airline executives and gone with first, a banker (who presided over the worst customer satisfaction and on time statistics ever) and now with an accountant as CEO.

Bean counter mentality is what sent Southwest down the gurgler.

Impressed I am not.

Looks like an additional 10-12 gates over now. Tucson really does need more flights

We had a great time in Gaslight Square. Speakeasy's are fun if not a bit pricey.

Gaslight district is fun and campy. It reminds me of places in Austin and San Antonio's Alamo district: just seedy enough to get the weirdness flowing, but sophisticated enough to provide culinary options if you're in the mood for them.

We noticed elevated prices and more homeless, but that's city-normal these days.

Assuming you used one of the two Southwest terminals? Those are terribly cramped, but the main terminal where the non-discount/international carries embark is quite nice.

Raise your hand if you've been called out by a FA. I can't imagine what would make me do something to piss off a gatekeeper empowered by the Federal regs that attend domestic air travel. I'm an asshole but I'm not entitled, so I know when I'm outgunned. Karens are everywhere these days. Leave 'em the fuck alone.

Qantas to pay $120m for allegedly selling tickets to flights that had already been cancelled

Qantas will fork out $100m as a civil penalty and pay $20m to customers in compensation, after striking a deal with the consumer watchdog over landmark legal action for allegedly selling tens of thousands of tickets to flights that had already been cancelled in its system.
