There's no such thing as MSM. At best it's a distinction without a difference. I go to the toothpaste isle in any large supermarket in America and after reading 157 different labels walk out with just what I want; same with the bottled water isle and news online. People who rail against the MSM must be as equally tormented by tap water as if it's some compelling conspiracy. I think it's crap.

And with very rare exceptions, sushi is awful.

So are barbecue pork ribs.

And steak.

And any kind of sandwich. Or burrito.

But there are rare exceptions to all.

Growing up, Friday was "pizza night". When I raised my kids, Friday was "pizza night".

I can go to my grave now never having another slice of pie and would be content.

"Let's get pizza" is something you will never hear me say.

I think it's very clear that you live a life of Sugarfish, Durant's, and Second Avenue Deli, etc. (as do I, as do I...)

Come back to me when you've had your share of sushi in St. Louis, steaks at Bennigan's, and sandwiches made over bins of canned foodstuffs scooped on to the "bread" by the pimply teens with plastic gloves and green hats.

One team of scientists has shown that those last mentioned three are representative of 98% of all sushi, steaks, and sandwiches.

The good stuff is rare. Piece of Meat would agree that some nachos and pizza are amazing. But that's rare.

I like sushi, but I understand why people would not. Ribs, I wouldn't say awful, but overrated. Steak, true. I've never been able to enjoy steak much.

Sandwiches and burritos are just crazy talk, though. Sandwiches and burritos are awesome. First, I saw you hate sandwiches, and figured you hate America. Then I saw you hate burritos and figured you want to Make America Great Again.

I love just about all mexican food. If I had to pick a meh item, I would go with tamales. I don't hate them, but they're pretty much last on my list.

Confession time: I don't even know the difference between waves of feminism.

Speaking of waves, the wave at a sporting event is rarely fun and most often stupid and distracting. In a sport like basketball, it completely detracts from the action.

Big unpopular opinion: I don't know why the eclipse was a big deal. It's a well documented natural phenomenon that looks like you would think it does. I mean, cool, but people were really fired up about it, and I do not underatand that.

Actually, I think this is either a popular opinion or about to become a popular opinion. The Raiders and Chargers are recent examples of cities that just flatly tapped out of trying to keep a pro team. Before that, the Sonics in the NBA lost a team by prioritizing funds for city needs over the sports team.

I don't know if this is unpopular or not, but the NFL is going to implode in about 10 years.

It is. I don't want football to go away, but changes need to be made in equipment or something to change the injuries. As is though I have a hard time seeing football not being relegated to a lower tier sport with less high end athletes playing in it that isn't nearly as popular within 20-40 years.

About time. Still a lot of bitching in NW about not caving to Sonics demands (and David Stern's). When I first moved here, voters statewide said "yes" to a football stadium for pauper Paul Allen (Microsoft). Been to one game: Two tix, nosebleeds: $450. Ah, family entertainment!

With athletes retiring at the top of their game due to CTE concerns, then yes, it is a very real issue.

My wife wouldn't let my kids play Pop Warner due to injury concerns and such. I see Cal Poly football players almost every day walking around since I work close to the stadium and football offices, and see a lot of casts and walking boots.

I've tried too. Keep being told how ahead of their time they are and how they're truly musical geniuses.

Really it's just disjointed noise.

Agree on Dinosaur Jr. An early love of mine that continues to this day.

As for Radiohead, say something bad about them and we're in a fight.
