Tucson gas prices are now just above the national average. Not sure why. It all started when the Texas freeze shut down the refineries, which Tucson gets piped in straight from Texas.

A quick search of his vehicle turned up a handgun from Vannoy’s jacket, a loaded AR-style semi-automatic rifle with an illegal silencer, four other firearms, ammunition, a bulletproof blanket and vest, two brown wigs and an Air Force costume. Officers also found marijuana.
.
.
.
Vannoy was jailed on weapons and drug charges, but he was released after posting $5,000 bond on March 17, despite the fact he threatened to kill a guard, exposed his penis to guards and threw feces from his cell into a common area.

So $5K bail? Talking about white privilege.

Also, it is a federal crime to be a marijuana user and have a weapon.

When I first got my license in Tucson, gas was around 28cents a gallon (you read that right - this was a million years ago) for most of the month. Then for the last 3 or 4 days of the month it would drop to 17 cents. Like clock work. You could set your calendar by it.

The reason? The pipeline separates the different shipments in the pipe by dosing a the end of one shipment and start of another with tiny amount of radioactivity (tritium I think). The dosed gas is called a plug, the level of radioactivity is barely above background level. The plug gas is perfectly fine, in fact its probably higher quality than regular since one shipment might be regular and the next premium, so you are getting a mix of the two in the 'plug'. They would then sell off the 'plug gas' to the discount stores like 7-11 and that would cause the big stations to drop their prices to compete.

I wonder what they do with plug gas these days. Probably sell it into the system with out a discount, or maybe the discount is so small that it doesn't affect the total price anywhere near as much. Maybe the Bean-counters don't let them sell it at much of a discount or maybe they found a more profitable secondary use.

Woman wakes to blood dripping from ceiling of apartment in Texas

EL PASO, Texas (Gray News) - A woman in Texas said she was woken by blood and other bodily fluids dripping from her ceiling.

Ana Cardenas said on a GoFundMe post that the person in the apartment above hers had died.

KTSM reported the body was not discovered for days and started to decompose.

“Bodily fluids began leaking from the ceiling contaminating all my personal belongings: bed, furniture, clothes, sheets, and much more are now destroyed and had to be thrown away due to biohazard,” Cardenas wrote on GoFundMe.

The blood seeped through her ceiling where the fan was running, causing it to splatter across the room, KTSM said. Cardenas told them she was traumatized from the experience and planned to have a medical exam to be sure she wasn’t infected with anything.

The GoFundMe fundraiser will go toward temporary shelter and replacing her clothing and other personal items that were ruined, she said. By Friday, the total had reached more than $9,400, nearly twice the original goal.

She said she has not been able to reach the manager of the apartment complex, and she told the reporter she did not have renter’s insurance, since it was not a requirement.

Arizona woman claims she didn’t steal car, instead got it from man for sex

Diana Lee Baker is facing charges of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - An Arizona woman accused of stealing a car claims the alleged victim gave it to her in exchange for sex.

The Mesa Police Department said Diana Lee Baker, 44, was in a vehicle that was reported stolen.

The MPD said Baker told officers a man she knew as “Robert” gave her the car after she had sex with him.

The person who owned the vehicle, a gray Nissan Sentra, told officers he didn’t know Baker and didn’t give her permission to have it.

The MPD said they found a melted plastic straw and foil with drug residue in the vehicle. Baker is facing charges of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia

This isn't news but,

How many of you guys have people just park in your driveway and block it off?

This is the second time this year it has happened, first one got stuck when they got off the plowed path in the winter, this current one has a trail of coolant following it.

I deliver diesel in a tri axle Kenworth. This is not the right driveway to get stuck in.

Our neighbors pool guy parked in front of our driveway and blocked almost half of it on the morning we had to leave at 715 am to go to the hospital to have a baby. Normally I'd be pissed but I somehow made myself very zen. We live in a large cul de sac as well with only 4 houses. Everyone has a huge stretch of street and massive driveways.

I worked in the woods for decades with many, many contracts behind locked Forest Service gates. Once, coming back out at the end of a long goddamned day I found some fool had parked his rig up against the outside of the locked gate. I chained up to him and dragged him behind the gate, shut it and left the lock barely unlatched up inside the bell housing. Left him a scathing note on his windshield. Fucking flatlanders.

You could drag that fool three blocks away with your Kenworth and give him a real treat.

Thanks for reminding me why I live in the toolies on a dead end road. But the one downside is that everyone knows everyone else, so Don't want to upset too many people in the area, especially the druggies, if they get mad at you they steal your stuff.

When our subdivision has its semiannual garage sale, people love to block driveways with their cars.

Not sure what thought process involves a belief that people not participating in the sale don’t need to get out of their driveways, but at least twice a year I have to tell some Karen that although getting a great deal on a used blender is super duper important, my kids still need to get to their doctor appointment/soccer game/robotics tournament/art class/whatever.
