I'd say about a 99.9% chance of being fake. Looks like a computer generated font, but still funny none the less.

The above image is doing the rounds of Facebook, Twitter, Jezebel, Imgur, and elsewhere, although it appears it was first published online about four years ago and it has reappeared on numerous different sites ever since.

Older incarnations of this document claim it comes from New Orleans, but the current viral version of this document purports to be “a menu from a London brothel dating back to 1912″; a house of ill repute reputedly owned by one Mrs. F.A. Tasse. It’s full of dirty words and acts, leading most people to read it surreptitiously, have a giggle, and then close the page quickly before their colleagues see it. However, if you read it closely there are a more than a few things that are fishy about the language…

For starters, the prices are listed in dollars and cents although in 1912, the English paid for their painted women in pounds, shillings, and pence. The U.K. didn’t decimalize their currency until 1971.

Furthermore, the dialect in the “menu” is written in American English and there are numerous errors. “Parlors” would be spelled as “parlours”. “Ass hole” would read “arsehole”. “Jerk you off” and “jack yourself off” would be “toss off” or “wank off”. “Jerk off” isn’t attested to until 1916 – feasibly, it may have been around in 1912, but probably not used in London.

There are several anachronisms in the document, even though they’ve tried to make the menu sound “old” by using words and phrases like “goose quill” and “diddling” (although the latter term refers to women primarily). “No discount for cash” is a modern phrase. “Poop” has been around since the 18th century, but “poop hole” is a relatively new slang term from the U.S. “Self-starter” wasn’t used to refer to people until the 1960s.

Tellingly, there is no Twenty-Second Street in London. Naming streets or avenues after numbers is an American convention.

Most of all, F.A. Tasse might kinda be read as “FAT ass”…

Note to the BDW community: Do not, repeat do not watch The Notebook with your sister.

A brother and sister have been accused of having sex with each other three times while parked outside a church after watching romantic movie The Notebook.

Christopher Buckner, 20,and her brother Timothy Savoy, 25, have been arrested after cops found the pair in the early hours of the morning outside the Countryside Baptist Church in Georgia, US.

Police said they were investigating reports of a prowler at 4.30am when they found the pair walking near the church.

Cops said the brother and sister later admitted to having sex inside a tractor trailer after watching the film on Tuesday morning, the Savannah Morning News reported.

The pair were both charged with incest, aggravated sodomy, and prowling.

The Notebook is a 2004 American romantic drama film and based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks.

The film stars Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as a young couple who fall in love during the early 1940s.

Senior citizen gang bang kills 7

http://www.deathandtaxesmag.com/229422/ ... g-kills-7/
In Charleroi, Belgium, an event promoter had organized what was considered the largest senior citizen orgy in the European Union. But the so-called “50 Shades of Karolos” gang bang turned into an unfortunate game of hide-the-salami-and-die after seven people suffered fatal heart attacks.

Nord Presse reported that, on Saturday, event promoter José Deflandre had secured a secret location for the event, and only men and women over the age of 65 could attend. Of those 35 randy, naked seniors in attendance, an unknown number suffered cardiac arrests and were rushed to a nearby medical center.

The evening turned sour once two attendees reported feeling sharp pains in their chests during the event and were seen to by doctors on site. (Good of Deflandre to consider such a contingency.)

Hospital attention was soon required as more guests were suffering similar symptoms. Some say that the panic of others having heart attacks caused some kind of heart attack ripple among others, transforming the sex orgy into some kind of pulmonary circlejerk.

In the aftermath, the ambulance could not rush everyone to the hospital in time. Some made it. Others, sadly, did not. Deflandre was not available for comment.

Sears is under fire for selling a ring emblazoned with a swastika.
A jewelry company called CET Domain was selling the ring on Sears' "marketplace" website, which hosts a community of third-party sellers.

The description for the ring reads: "This gothic jewelry item in particular features a Swastika ring that’s made of .925 Thai silver. Not for Neo Nazi or any Nazi implication. These jewelry items are going to make you look beautiful at your next dinner date."

Swastikas were around a lot longer that Hitler was in many cultures, among them Native American.

Image

But definitely a very poor decision by Sears and an outright lie by the marketplace seller.

Reminds me of the JC Penney tea kettle from a couple years ago which probably was incidental though.

Many Native American groups in the southwest that traditionally used the swastika in their art are finally starting to use that design element again in textiles and ceramics. Good for them. They're taking back what was co-opted.

Angry Camel Bites, Kicks American to Death

Animal may have been enraged by lack of Coca-Cola

By Rob Quinn, Newser Staff

(Newser) – A Chicago-area man who founded a wildlife sanctuary in Mexico ended up being kicked, bitten, and squashed to death by one of the animals he tried to save. An enraged camel kicked and bit Richard Mileski "practically to death, and when he was almost dead, he sat on him," an official in the beach resort of Tulum tells the AP. "Between the blows and the weight of the camel on top of him, he was asphyxiated." It's not clear why the animal—which had to be pulled off the 60-year-old's body with a rope tied to a truck—was so angry, the official says, but one theory "is that he would always give him a Coca-Cola to drink, and apparently that day he didn't give him the Coca-Cola."

How? I'm so confused.....

Couple hospitalised after sex in the sea left them stuck together

An amorous couple who took a dip in the ocean for a discreet lovemaking session ended up in hospital after they became stuck together.

The young pair were relaxing on a Porto San Giorgio beach when they decided to take to the water to express their love.

But what they thought was a daring and romantic venture came to an embarrassing end when the man found he was unable to detach himself due to suction – forcing the pair to shuffle to shore still stuck together.

According to Il Mattino, they caught the attention of a woman walking on the beach, who kindly gave them a towel to preserve what was left of their dignity.

A doctor was called and the young lovers were taken to a nearby hospital, where the woman was given an injection used to dilate the cervix of pregnant women.

Paul Kitterman, the 53-year-old father who went missing during halftime at Thursday's Denver Broncos-San Diego Chargers game, has been found safe, police said.

Denver Police made the announcement on their Twitter account: "DPD confirming that Paul Kitterman has been located and is safe after going missing from the Bronco Game." Later they added: "Paul Kitterman was located in Pueblo, Colorado. Again, he is unharmed. All questions should be directed to the family."

He was later relocated with his family, his stepson Jarod Tonneson confirmed. Pueblo is about 115 miles south of Denver, and more than 200 miles from Kitterman's hometown of Kremmling, Colo. Kitterman seemed to be happy and behaving normally before his disappearance Thursday night, his companions said, and told them that the experience of going to his first Broncos home game was "awesome." Soon afterwards, he vanished.

Police let officials at Sports Authority Field dig through the game's surveillance footage, a process that began Monday, because of their expertise with the camera setups, Denver Police Department spokesman Sonny Jackson said Tuesday. Any intriguing moments on the tapes were to be flagged for police.

Kitterman was sitting with Tonneson after going to the game with friend Tia Bakke and another friend, who were sitting in a different section. He was last seen by his son when he left to go meet those friends around halftime.

Kitterman, a construction worker and ranch hand from Kremmling, did not have his cell phone or any credit cards -- and only had about $50 cash -- when he went to the game, Bakke told ABC News.

"He would never bail on his son or anyone, so by Friday night we knew something was really, really, wrong," Bakke told ABC News. Police were not actively searching on foot for Kitterman because there was no indication a crime occurred, they said. Besides the analysis of the surveillance footage, much of the search appeared to be in the hands of friends passing out fliers. "We searched the stadium we have been going to hospitals," Tonneson said. "We have just been all over the place."

Tonneson, who also works as a construction worker, was one of Kitterman's few regular contacts in the area because Tonneson's parents and siblings live out of state, according to The Associated Press. "He wouldn't just take off, you know?" Tonneson told the AP. "He wouldn't leave me there."

ABC News' Carol McKinley, Jennifer Metz and Johah Lustig contributed to this report.

As the rocket took off with some 5,000 pounds of supplies and scientific equipment for the International Space Station, NASA officials spotted a malfunction both serious and visible enough to warrant the immediate activation of Antares’ flight termination system. National Geographic’s Brad Scriber writes that the flight safety officer and range safety officer tasked with deciding whether to detonate the rocket prematurely had to make the decision in mere seconds.

Retired astronaut Mark Kelly told CNN it was the correct decision, describing it as necessary to protect civilian lives. No one was injured during the incident.

Man struck, killed by falling tape measure

Post by UAEebs86 »

http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/nat ... /18424351/

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Authorities say a man delivering sheet rock at a construction site was killed when a tape measure fell 50 stories and hit him on the head.

The Jersey Journal reports that the accident occurred Monday morning in Jersey City.

Carly Baldwin, a spokeswoman for the city's public safety department, says the 1-pound tape measure became dislodged from a worker's belt on the 50th floor and struck construction equipment about 10 to 15 feet from the ground. It then ricocheted and struck the man, who wasn't wearing a hard hat.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he died. His name hasn't been released.

Officials say two 50-story residential towers and an attached hotel are being built at the site of the accident.

Prosecutor: Boy's beating death 'just evilness'

By MARYCLAIRE DALE
Associated Press

Authorities say a Pennsylvania couple struck a 3-year-old boy with a frying pan, laughed as they hung him upside down and beat him, and eventually inflicted so many injuries that he died in what a prosecutor described as an "unspeakable act of depravity."

Jillian Tait, 31, and Gary Lee Fellenbaum, 23, were charged Thursday with murder in the death of Tait's son, Scott McMillan, and aggravated assault in the beating of his older brother.

Tait and Fellenbaum went car shopping, bought pizza and engaged in sexual activity as the boy lay dying Tuesday after weeks of escalating abuse that ended in three days of systematic torture, officials said.

Investigators found no evidence that drugs or alcohol were involved.

"This is just evilness," said Chester County District Attorney Thomas Hogan said. "It is an unspeakable act of depravity."

The couple met working at Wal-Mart and last month moved in together, along with Fellenbaum's estranged wife. They lived with three children - Tait's 6- and 3-year-old sons and the Fellenbaums' 11-month-old daughter - in a mobile home park near Coatesville, about 35 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

The three adults told authorities that Scott McMillan had been whipped with a metal rod, punched and hit with blunt and sharp objects, and taped to a chair and beaten, police said in affidavits. The boy's dead body was covered in bruises, lacerations and puncture wounds.

"During one incident," the affidavits say, "Gary hung Scott and (his older brother) up by their feet one at a time and beat the boys while they were hanging upside down. Jillian stated that she and Gary were laughing during the incident."

Hogan called the case "an American horror story." He said late Thursday he had not yet been notified of the couple having obtained lawyers.

Fellenbaum's 21-year-old estranged wife, Amber Fellenbaum, was charged with child endangerment for allegedly failing to help the boy. She ultimately called 911 Tuesday night, authorities said. By then, Scott had been unresponsive for hours and had been put in a shower for more than 30 minutes by his mother and her boyfriend, investigators said.

When the boy failed to awaken, they placed him on an uninflated air mattress and went shopping, authorities said. The couple returned with a pizza and, after eating, took a nap and engaged in sexual activity, according to Tait's statement to police. Tait said she then checked on Scott and yelled for someone to call 911 because he wasn't breathing.

Gary Fellenbaum severely beat the boy for refusing to eat toast both Monday and Tuesday morning, authorities said. The "discipline" included throwing him against a wall, knocking him off a chair with a punch and then taping him to the chair to keep him upright for more beatings, police said.

The couple allowed Scott's brother to hit him as well, according to the affidavit. But the older boy also showed signs of abuse, authorities said.

"It is going to take us years to put him back together again physically and mentally," Hogan said.

There was no evidence the infant was harmed, authorities said. She and the 6-year-old were placed in the custody of relatives, the prosecutor said.

Tait and Fellenbaum were being held without bail after their arraignments Thursday. They are scheduled for a preliminary hearing Nov. 14.

Amber Fellenbaum was being held on $500,000 bail. No attorney was listed in court records.

So this thread is now dead to me.

I click on it to read news of the weird.

Not stories of psychopathic nature so horrifying that I almost wished I didn't know this forum existed.

Keep that shit to places like gore websites, or at the very fucking least, put a link to the story, a small description warning as to what the link is, and allow people to decide if they want to click to it.

Sick to my stomach. That poor child.
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

Yeah, it's called Gen Pop.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Sterilization for all involved seems like a good first step.

Fake clown attacks put French police on alert and trigger vigilante response

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/fak ... cid=AARDHP
French police are on high alert after fake clowns have caused panic across France in a spreading phenomenon that has led to violence and a response by vigilantes.

Fourteen teenagers dressed as clowns and carrying pistols, knives and baseball bats were arrested outside a school in Agde, southern France, on Saturday. The local newspaper, Daupiné Liberé, wrote: “These clowns aren’t funny any more.”

In Montpellier, a 35-year-old man was beaten with a metal rod on Saturday night by a man dressed as a clown, who tried to rob him with two accomplices. They were arrested the next day.

A 19-year-old butcher’s apprentice, who had dressed as a clown to terrorise children in Douvrin, northern France, was given a six-month suspended prison sentence at a court in Béthune last week.

Real clowns are dismayed by the trend. “The best thing that could happen is that people stop talking about them,” said Philippe Herreman, who belongs to an association of specially trained clowns who visit hospitals and care homes.

Herreman, who runs a team of eight clowns in northern France called the Clowns of Hope, said he wished the evil clowns would soon disappear.

But the trend, fuelled by Facebook and other social media, is spreading – prompting police to issue a national appeal urging people to report the fake clowns. Meanwhile, some people have taken the clown hunt into their own hands. Police in Bordeaux stopped a dozen youths, who were carrying sticks and metal rods and said they were hunting clowns. One was a 12-year-old boy armed with a dagger.

In eastern France, five people were arrested in Mulhouse last week after setting out to catch scary clowns.

The impostors have told police they are inspired by viral videos from the US. The trend has also surfaced in Britain, where a fake clown was unmasked as a student and filmmaker in Northampton this month.

“It’s a terrible development,” said professional clown Franck Dinet. “It’s not enough to put on a costume and stage a happening, you need to have an artistic goal.”

AIDS campaign puts pink condom on Sydney obelisk

http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2014/11/07/ ... =sec&or=on
Some Sydney residents were upset by the display.

Wendy Francis, director of the Australian Christian Lobby and an outdoor advertising lobbyist, told the Sydney Daily Telegraph the stunt was "disgusting" and "completely inappropriate."

"My position on this is always that the government but also the community we have responsibility to our children," she said.

"Parents do not want to be forced into a situation where they have to explain something that's not relevant. It's an Obelisk and we're turning it into a penis."

Hmm...I'd argue that psychopathic behavior like this is indeed "weird".
