Prodigal Eyelid Dream

Post by Longhorned »

In the last dream I had before waking up today, I dreamed that all of us started painting one of our eyelids red or blue before showing up at U of A sporting events. When Arizona fans started noticing that the crowd was dotted with people who painted one of their eyelids, they'd ask about us and we'd respond, "It's our prodigal eyelid. Bear Down." Then we'd suggest, "Go to prodigaleyelid.com." The whole thing caught fire, and kind of became a thing. To the point that we no longer wanted to change our domain name. It became a standard trademark for Arizona fans to paint one eyelid for games and speak of the The Prodigal Eyelid, so central to the Wildcat ethos.

It's like I hadn't understood what the prodigal eyelid meant until LH had his dream. Now there's clarity.

Lol. Prodigal Eyelid is a progressive rock project I've started. But Longhornred's vision is better. ;-)

Last night I dreamed there was some kind of board-related event in some city somewhere we were all going to, and we all had to wear suits. According to the dream, the only suit I owned was cream colored and covered with a pattern of pastel colored flowers. I wore this suit with white boots.

Also according to the dream, I traveled to the event with Chicat, who wore a proper suit.

Sitting across from me on the train, he looked at me with disdain and said, "If you wore that with a bunny mask, nobody would look twice."

I woke up laughing.

I'm flattered that you dream of me Professor Longbottom. Next time we see each other I'm bringing the bunny mask from Donnie Darko.

The suit didn't come up. But I was somehow at the event live and watching from a high beam or something, with the court and the seating all way down there beneath me. The fear of falling was at the forefront of my concerns. Which really captured the experience of being a fan, I guess.

I dreamed that Merkin made up a new name for people to give their newborn boy or girl:

ooOOOoo

He insisted on that strange pattern of capitalization, and had strong-felt opinions on how it affected pronunciation. But since this was all communicated on a message board, the pronunciation wasn't entirely clear. Somebody objected that custom dictated that the first "o" would appear capitalized on official forms and the like, but Merkin was pretty confident in some kind of workaround for that.

I am insisting that my daughter name her first born if she has children: OhWeOh

Note the first letter is capitalized.

Or the correct spelling of: Oeo oeo

I dreamt I was in Tucson eating at a beloved though prohibitively expensive restaurant known as "La Parilla" where various meats are grilled slowly while being compressed under a the weight of a very large, sleeping man lying on a terracotta slab over the grill. My intention in the dream was to post about it later in the dinner thread.

I dreamt I was being prosecuted on some kind of technicality related to a murder on my property before I was born. During cross-examination, the prosecutor asked me if there was a smell I liked that other people tend not to like.

"Elephant penis," I said. "It's kind of urinous mixed with a fermented cheese thing going on."

The court was so horrified that I woke up. I was like, good riddance to that horrible dream.

Pachyderm putz cheese is popular at ASU tailgating parties. Or so I've heard.
