Loving this recurring theme this year about just how bad Harden's defense really is.

He's better this year. He is 100% a top 5 MVP candidate so far.

Iggy took Harden completely out of his rhythm and shut him down. I was surprised Kerr didn't play AI on him earlier in the series but maybe he was waiting for the right time. Iggy is too long and smart for a cheap ass artist like Harden. I'm so glad the Rockets are gone so I don't have to see the refs falling for Harden's bs. I can't believe the NBA refs haven't caught on to his act yet. He is a good player but the amount of calls he gets is ridiculous.

Saw one the other day where Harden was guarding a guy out on the three point line who just drove right around him on the baseline and dunked. Harden turned around and shot a confused look at (I assume) his post guy off camera kind of like, 'WTF? Why aren't you guarding my guy?!'

At least he has somewhat of an excuse.

Dude needs to see a podiatrist.
Hate to add length to what should be the shortest thread ever: Harden's D is a negative integer.

Calvin Natt did that to me in a clinic in front of everyone at Adams-Westphal Basketball Camp. No magic tricks, just blew by me and dunked to make the point that defensive technique gets you nowhere when you're guarding Calvin Natt.

If Harden only played against suburban 13-year-olds he might actually deserve that contract.

One of Calvin Natt's biceps would've been as big as your head back then.

Met both Westy and the Oklahoma Kid later, and they were both larger than life to me.

At one point, I thought we had a Harden v Westbrook thread. They are the two MVP favorites so far. Westrbrook is averaging a triple double:

31.2 10.5 11.3

Harden

28.7 7.2 11.9

Funny article about players who are often too busy complaining to get back on D. Unsurprisingly Harden is high on the list.

Harden and the Rockets just lost at home by 39 to a Spurs team with no Tony Parker or Kawhi Leonard.

Harden: 10 Pts. 2-11 shooting. 6 TO Plus/minus of -28

Good job, good effort.

Good job, good effort.

Can't put too much of the blame on Harden. The Spurs demolishing the Rockets, in Houston, with far inferior talent on the floor might be the most Popovich/D'Antoni thing ever.

Asking Harden to guard Gasol was beyond dumb. Completely wore him out, but make no mistake about it, that was as piss poor effort as I've ever seen in a basketball game. He quit.

that wasn’t a good cross over. The guy fell because he was pushed. That would be an offensive foul in college unless it was against Arizona.

I don't know NBA rules, but that would be a flop call in college and Harden would be shooting a technical.

Every team that has ever signed Harden has been totally screwed.

Yet he still is a wanted man. I don't get it

Harden has shown what it takes to be a free agent and choose your team no matter what your contract situation is. Hopefully other stars are not taking notes as it makes it pretty sucky as a fan knowing a player can choice where he wants to go when he wants to go if he makes enough of a stink.
