There are many positives that can come from the hit she generously took at her own expense, but we're all just so appreciative for furthering our hopes that Sarver is going down very soon.

I half wonder if the Suns leaking this to light a fire under Utah. What on earth could the Pacers give them that they or Brooklyn want?

Utah doesn't want him (feels like no one else does besides the Pacers, at least at the max Ayton wants)

Basically not signing him outright and forcing the Suns to match it and a) risk losing ayton if they match it and b) suns not being able to trade him for a year

This way the suns get something for Ayton even if it's trash like Myles Turner

Even if they're chasing KD, and even if the Pacers extend an offer sheet, can't the Suns just pay a colossal luxury tax and match for Ayton?

What was the deleted tweet? That would be 4 Cats on the Pacers roster. York is on their summer league team

A possible sign and trade deal with the Pacers.

It feels like if Sarver isn't just being his cheap self, and Jones and the Suns actually know what they're doing, they have KD lined up and are just looking to cut salary while not taking back from Pacers what they don't want. Otherwise, the more likely scenario is that Sarver is just being his cheap self, and/or Jones and the Suns don't actually know what they're doing.

There is no way the suns can match that offer and be in the running for KD.

Ayton isn’t a 40+ million guy.

Well he's not, he's getting 133/4 - 33 per year

Suns can pay Durant and Ayton but Sarver would have to pay the luxury tax, which he's not going to do.

Bad math. Hell even 30+ lol.

100% agreement on the luxury tax and Sarver.

That was quick. I been following Flex from Jersey on Twitter. He seems to think we still have a shot at getting Durant even after this Ayton signing.

So the suns get maxed. If they would have maxed him last year they would be one year through that contract and probably at a lower number. Plus he may have really played in that game 7. Just seems like a poor decision to me given they just signed him

If you have a player on your roster with 5-year max, you're restricted from obtaining another player in that category throughout the duration of that contract. That's why the Suns offered 4 years instead. Now, the Suns have no such restriction.

On this note: Should I go public with a prediction that the Suns send out enough salary that they get Durant AND Ben Simmons so that the Nets can get Donovan Mitchell? I can see how the math works. If anyone can coach Simmons, it's Monty. And he'd fill the holes the Suns would need (Bridges' defense and relieving CP3).

The current Suns' expiring contracts are pretty amazeballs when you look at them. Especially with all those picks.

Why not just add Donovan Mitchell a long with Durant and Simmons? Seeing as how the Nets feel like the Suns don't offer enough to get Durant alone unless they are parting with Booker I see no way they would add Simmons and Durant

If trusted reporting can indeed be trusted, Durant wants to be traded to the Suns, and the Nets want Mitchell.

The Nets can't keep Durant. It would seem that other teams can't trade for Durant, since he wants the Suns.

The Nets can't get Mitchell because of Simmons.

Nobody wants to trade for Simmons, and the Nets don't want him.

The Jazz need to trade Mitchell.

Though we don't know this, it would make sense that Mitchell would prefer to go home to New York.

That's why.

Wow. Talk about pushing all chips to the middle of the table.

Bridges, Johnson, Crowder (who hasn’t played) and four first rounders for an often injured 34 year old superstar.

Interesting move.

They better hope this works, because they aren’t getting all that draft capital back by trading CP3 if it doesn’t.

KD should thrive. He doesn't have to be the primary ball handler. CP3 is one of the best ever. KD doesn't have to be the primary scorer. Booker is on pace to be one of the best. KD doesn't have to be the top rebounder either, as Ayton is top 10 in the league at over 10 RPG. All KD has to do is be himself and let the game come to him.

The questions now is bench and durability. Can CP3 and KD make it through the playoffs without any injury issues? Once the Suns secure a playoff spot, wouldn't surprise me to see these stars have some DNPs - Coaches Decisions to rest, especially on any back-to-back or 2 games in 3 nights situations. Better to have them ready and rested for the playoffs. Besides, KD, Booker, CP3, and Ayton all have deep run playoff experience. They don't need to grind the last few weeks to get a better seed in my opinion.
