Suns are beating the Bucks like a redheaded stepchild.

I switched over from the WSU game as soon as the Suns game started. The Suns obviously tied the Bucks in knots, but to me, the Bucks continued to look like the second best team in the NBA right now behind the Suns. They're my clear pick to come out the East with the addition of Ibaka, and if Covington comes back okay. Suns-Bucks would be a great finals if so. So would Suns-Nets if Irving can somehow play home games Simmons comes along. They need Drummond against the Suns.

The Warriors are equal in the backcourt, and better in the backcourt on a given day or night, and they have the Heart of a Champion, but Ayton has turned another corner on offense, and there's a matchup problem for switching defenses who don't have enough size on defense. The halfcourt offense has gone into a kind of patient, slow-mo, methodical delivery to Ayton on the inevitable mismatch.

And there's a wear-down effect with the depth at center. After a while, the paint starts opening up for Bridges and Johnson, and that's when the knots tie as they find Johnson, Crowder, and Bridges on the arc. For the defense, it's literally a better option to hack a low-percentage FT shooter and hope he's as bad as Ben Simmons.

I was at the game last night and it was great seeing the Suns dominate this team. I was at game 5 of the Finals last year and had flashbacks of that nightmare. Great to see us beat 4 of the top teams in the East recently.

I'm not sure I want ESPN's headlines.

fESPN doesn’t report on sports. They report on drama, much of it manufactured by them. So you’ll see way more bullshit about the Lakers and Nets than you will about the Suns. Sorry sports fans.

Lol.

Considering how pathetic the Lakers have become, I'm hoping you guys will allow me to jump on the Suns bandwagon this year (but, just this year!).

fESPN = fuck Entertainment and SPorts Network

Entertainment comes second in their name.

how many Suns fans watch! How many Laker fans? How many Nets?

Do yo think folks go to a Neil Young concert to see him perform Pink Floyd songs?

That video doesn't even do the ridiculousness of the ejection justice. Watch the full video... the ref walks into CP3 and basically throws his shoulder into CP3 (accidentally0 But the ref wasn't actually watching and just called the T. So stupid

Actually, CP3 did intentionally draw the contact, but the second technical is just a bad call because CP3 established position and the unaware official fell into the trap. CP3 knew the official was about to turn in that direction without looking. That's because CP3 is a master manipulator of movement in space, as reflected in how he firmed up his position in anticipation of the contact. The official should have just said, "I was dumb and crashed into him because he's so smart that he made me do it, so my bad. CP3 1, me 0." Instead, he was a dick about it.

That's how I understood it.

BTW, I don't like "re-evaluated" in that tweet. The report says he'll be out 6-8 weeks, which must be accurate. "Re-evaluated" suggests uncertainty.

I have no idea how the coaching staff is going to approach CP3's absence. It seems really important to bring Payne off the bench so he can re-integrate with the second unit and carry that continuity into the playoffs. I half wonder if you just run Point Book and give Shamet Book's role, or even just diminish Shamet's existing role in favor of more minutes for all of these really good wings on the roster. I'm even curious about whether the Suns give Holiday a shot at replacing CP3's role in the rotation.

With Booker now in health and safety protocols, the Phoenix Suns continue to try to win without guards. I don't know how much Payne will be worth during initial re-entry, but I'd recommend some backcourt minutes for McGee.

I was at the Blazers game and Brandon Williams looked like the best player for the Blazers during some stretches. I know Portland was missing a lot of players but it was still nice to see him do well. Payne definitely provided a boost for the Suns.

The Suns absolutely worked the (#1 in the East) Heat in Miami 111-90, after barely escaping in Orlando last night.

No Jimmy Butler, but no CP3 or Cam Johnson either and Booker's first game back after COVID.

Gutsy win. Hate the hack-a-Shaq but it worked perfectly. Draymond and Crowder exchanged pleasantries after it was over
