That's what you get for playing like shit in the playoffs. As a Laker fan, I couldn't be more happy that he is gone

Exactly. If you're going to bank on free agency offers, start by not sucking in the playoffs.

Always bet on yourself.

Unless you suck.

Rob Pelinka somewhere is so excited that he signed the 2010 All NBA team for the price of a Dennis Schroder.

His Agent secured him that extension offer in a market where 4 teams had CAP space. And because he said no to it so soundedly, no team approached LA about a SnT if they did want him.

It’s insane how bad that process was. You have to know the market if you’re betting on it. Literally like 4 teams had CAP to offer him big money, and 2 wanted Lowry. But the time Lowry was fully known, one pivoted to Graham, the other pivoted away from a PG altogether, and the Knicks lucked into Walker, and Hornets weren’t interested.

End CAP space.

Hard to get more than that extension if you have no suitors and if there’s no CAP, and if you already shit on the extension ended SnT.

What's the speculation for why the Clipper's sent Patrick Beverly packing? Money? Age? Or was it making such sore loser of himself pushing Chris Paul? Granted Leonard and Paul George are the Clipper's next-level talents, but PatBev seemed their heart and soul, setting the tone of the locker room, leaving it out on the floor every night, and rallying the team when injuries or slumps kept the scorers down.

I just think he falls under the normal category of dispensable parts. His one-on-one defense keeps him on the floor, but he isn't great at it, and doesn't bring much else.

Do you remember when the TV announcers were openly rooting for the Clippers, and they told that feel-good story about how he got caught cheating on a college exam, and had to take a low road and ended up in Houston where he got screwed over by the coaches who preferred James Harden to him, and now look at him! Flailing his arms and breaking opponents' noses with his own forehead, and showing everyone how wrong they were about him!

I will never understand putting my multi-million dollar salary at risk because you don’t want to do something that literally billions of people have done without adverse side effects, and that also can keep you, your loved ones, your coworkers, and community safe.

It’s pure dumbfuckery and I do not get it.

What my take away from all this is how differently these "social narratives" play out across different sports. The NFL is going through the same levels of unvaccinated rosters yet for some reason we're not hearing about it everyday and the NFL itself seems to have a comfortable PR handle on it.

Another "social issue" which I thought played out in a surprisingly contrasting way was how difficult it was for the NFL to get a grasp on addressing Kaepernick which dragged on for three seasons, and to an extent still does, even after Goodell's big apology last summer. Contrast that with how quickly NASCAR (NASCAR of all organizations!) and its fellow drivers were able to get a handle on Bubba Wallace finding a noose in his garage. This from an organization that only recently came around to banning Confederate Flags. The fallout was tempered out in a matter of two days.

Hardin quit on the Rockets last year but had trade options because there was belief Harden would commit once away from Houston.

With Simmons, not only can't he shoot, but does anybody believe Simmons will step up and give it his all for a new team?

In the back of my mind I put it on the hubris of the Spurs' staff to think they can fix Simmons' shot and bring him around to a team first attitude. Kawhi Leonard redux? Hard pass.

I just watched him go 4-5 for 14 points in the first quarter tonight and nearly threw up.

When you say 4-5 are you talking about shots or tripping attempts?

The Knicks were so pissed to go down by 20 in the first half to the Tripping Graysons that they stormed back and won by double digits.

Allen played the most minutes and ended up -11.

That was the knock on him in the draft.

“Doesn’t have an NBA body”

Which was the nice way of saying that he’s a Baconator away from being Joe the Tow Truck Driver from Minnetonka.
