As a long suffering L.A. Rams fan who had to endure years and years of Niner dominance I want this one badly. Like really, really badly.

It's there for the taking.

I love Akers but this time of the year you can't put the ball on the ground like that. Henderson if healthy and Michel need to get the touches next week. And getting Joseph-Day back would be huge to help stop the Niners running game.

Chalk it up to not having a preseason and lean on Michel. No need to destroy the kid’s confidence but don’t give him the ball in crunch time again this year.

Rams are going to win this week. My interest in this game has increased since I saw an article on McVay with a pic of his girlfriend. Oh my goodness is life good for that guy :)

Noteboom had a great game last week subbing for Whitworth.

We need all the the offensive line help we can get against that Niner defensive front.

Joseph-Day, Rochell and Henderson Jr. won't play today.

Super Bowl crowds are 1/4 fans for one team, 1/4 fans of the other team, and 1/2 corporate slapdicks and the “stars” of whatever schlock the network that’s airing the game is putting in as mid season replacements of the shit they currently show.

Rams are 3.5 point favorites in opening lines. Very curious how that number changes. I can see it trending toward the Rams as bettors start to think about Aaron Donald, Von Miller, & Leonard Floyd against the Bengals o-line.

I think if the Rams can limit the Bengals big plays in the passing game and keep them under 30 points, they have a great chance to take home the trophy.

I think Cinci keeps the game close with the expectation that Joe Burrito will figure out a way to win similar to their current playoff run.

Only difference is this Rams defense is better than the Titans, Raiders or Chiefs.

For those who will inevitably criticize SB LVI for not having Mahomes, Brady, etc., I suspect NBC will be pretty happy to grab damn near ALL of the available LA TV eyeballs. The Super Bowl always gets numbers there, regardless of who plays, but this should really be something.

Line is already up to -4.

67% of the money wagered so far has been on the Rams.

i would like to publicly come here and admit i was wrong about the Von Miller trade - although he didnt have an amazing game yesterday, at the time of the trade i was critical and hard on the Rams. Miller was injured and if felt like the Rams were sacrificing their future to get players on a rental, and at the time (in Miller) one who might not be able to get healthy.

well, here we are and the Rams aggressive "Super Bowl or bust" mentality has paid off.

so, to you Chi, one of the LA supporters of the Von Miller trade - you were right.

enjoy the super bowl, everyone.

My initial reaction was that they gave up too much for him, but then my second reaction was to defend anything Les Snead does.

Les was right. Miller played like a beast at the end of the season and the first two games of the playoffs. And he’s been encouraging Aaron Donald to be way more vocal as a leader. The way AD brought the entire defense to him on the sideline in the 4th quarter and challenged each and every one of them to give everything they’ve got is not something you would have ever seen him do before. I credit Von Miller for inspiring it.

Then I guess Stafford is just going to have to take the team back again next year just to prove this wasn’t the Aaron Donald/Von Miller/Jalen Ramsey show.

This is going to be an interesting game. Cincy has a much better offense than the Niners but not as good of a defense.

If Cincy is smart, they’ll stick with the run. Mixon can gash the Rams front four and you saw how suspect their tackling was at the second level. If they get impatient and start throwing the ball on every down, the DL will beat Burrow up and cause some turnovers.

line of scrimmage will control this game and the Rams have advantage. the Bengals have been average at best up front and face a daunting task of going against a motivated and rested Super Bowl experienced defense filled with stars at every level.

Miller has been here before and feasted, Donald returns motivated and hungry.
Chicat wrote: Mon Jan 31, 2022 6:12 pm ....he’s been encouraging Aaron Donald to be way more vocal as a leader. and to the Aaron Donald sideline chat, every man, to a man, was looking at him and beyond inspired, nodding their heads focused on his every word as he made eye contact with each guy...the cameras view was birds eye and gave a perfect slightly intimate shot inside that moment **goosebumps**

the Rams have the best defensive player on the planet five years running in Donald and argument, the best offensive player now in Steve Largent...i mean Cooper Kupp.

inexperienced Bengals have an uphill battle from my seat.

This article is great. As a kid who moved to NY years before the Rams moved to St. Louis, their change of address felt weird, but not so much a betrayal. Their performance and personnel decisions on the other hand did feel like they were trying to screw me over.

In any case, I won’t mind if Kroenke is petty. Georgia Showgirl Frontiere sucked ass.

ESPN is such trash.

Ryan Clark and Scott Van Pelt just predicted the Bengals will win. Which is fine.

But then they agreed that because the Bengals were 2-14 two years ago, it would be the greatest turnaround in NFL history.

Uhhh…

The 1998 Rams went 4-12 and the very next year won the Super Bowl AFTER losing their starting QB in the preseason.

Fuck all the way off.

Growing up in Michigan, I followed the Lions more than any other NFL team.

I rarely went to bed disappointed since I always expected them to lose. Even with Stafford as QB.

But am extremely happy for him*, since there is no worse franchise in the NFL. He had Calvin Johnson for a few years, but nothing after that or around him.

I’m feeling a quiet confidence right now. I respect the shit out of Burrow and the Bengals but the Rams seem to have the stars aligned this year and their Defense is just killing it.

That and Stafford playing well in the playoffs bodes well…I hope.

I’m also hoping McVay doesn’t go challenge crazy like in the last game.
