Over under on the amount of days until the next NFL player hits a woman? I say 16 days...

The good news is that most people probably mistake him for Kevin Hart.

That's bad news for Kevin Hart. Unless his GF runs into his fist as well...

This is only partially on point, but I really fault Goodell that Jovon Belcher gunning down his GF wasn't the wakeup call for the NFL's DV issue.

I love all the "outrage".

I bet record TV ratings and attendance for the NFL this year.

Ray Lewis speaks out:

I'm surprised he just didn't claim not to have seen Rice do anything.

Ray Lewis is right. There is no comparison between what Ray Rice did and what he did.

After all, Janay Rice is still breathing...

I finally got the chance to see the video.

Dude.

Ray got a diversionary program (basically less than a misdemeanor) for that attack? It isn't just the NFL that has some questions to answer.

So, TMZ is claiming they have evidence the NFL turned a blind eye to the video.

Makes absolutely no sense that they would. Why would the nfl risk that much? I doubt they saw the video.

I can't open the video, but this was linked as an interview with Harvey Levin where he references that:

Frankly, I never would have thought Goodell would be tone deaf enough to only suspend for 2 games. The hubris is strong enough I kind of believe it. I also think Goodell basically lacks a moral compass.

Listened to Ray Lewis get VERY preachy on the NYG/DET post game. Not even sure if it made sense. Also, brought god into the equation.

When has Ray Lewis not brought God into the equation lately? Ever since he beat the murder rap, he's been thumping the Bible.

Yeah, somehow beating a murder rap has a great way of changing people. I still do not understand why this is not brought up more in relation to him. Seems like someone from SI or Yahoo or Deadspin or CBSports should get after that.

Well, here's the TMZ report about the NFL, which claims they never requested the video from the casino prior to the suspension.

http://m.tmz.com/#Articles/nfl

I think that only links to their general page, but it's there and quotes casino sources saying Goodell and/or the leave never requested the elevator video.

That’s where Goodell fails constantly. When he tries to make the NFL “a leader that can stand for important values,” his words ring hollow, because his actions have always told a different story. Just look at the highlights from the 49ers or Panthers on Sunday.

Or don’t. Just look at all the other domestic-violence incidents that pop up every offseason instead, and the history of NFL apathy in response. Or think back to Jovan Belcher, the Kansas City linebacker who killed the mother of his child and then committed suicide in the Chiefs parking lot. Or Terrell Suggs, another Baltimore Raven, who was accused of punching his fiancée in the neck in 2012, and then dragging her from a moving car with their two children as passengers. He was later forced to surrender an AK-47 and six other guns to authorities. He was never suspended that year and eventually played in a Super Bowl. The same way Ray McDonald played Sunday.

This is the larger issue to me. Goodell has a pattern of coldness and callousness towards anything but the bottom line. Players are developing CTE, Roger proposes extending the season by 2 games. Domestic Violence doesn't matter...until the PR turns bad.

Roger Goodell should be gone.

Uh, Todd knows that Ray Rice was the guy in the hat in that video, not the one who took the punch, right?

Because that's actually the most lucid explanation, that he got Rice and his wife confused in the video and thinks she threw the left hook. What a jackass. Way to rip some random female supporter named @gopmommy too.

There are people who respect transgender rights. And there are people who think you should all be put in a camp. That’s me. I have plenty of compassion for trannies. They should all be locked up in mental institutions and their care paid for by the state. The only things I hate these days are commies, trannies, and most Muslims.
