I used to live in SF and was a Niners fan, although not really now, but I can't believe the fanbase would be too happy with this.

Twitter to stream NFL Thursday night football
NFL games will be screened for free to a global audience using any device for the duration of the 2016 season. The games will also be available on NBC, CBS and the NFL Network, meaning that viewers will have the option of watching matches through digital, cable or traditional broadcast means.
Twitter will also be the home of in-game highlights and pre-game Periscopes, ensuring it stays with viewers from the build-up to a game through to post-match commentary. All Thursday Night game content will be available to registered and nonregistered Twitter users, of which the social network says it has 800 million.

Titans just traded the #1 pick to the Rams.

Holy crap...

Tennessee gets: Rams' first-round pick (2016), two second-round picks (2016) third-round pick (2016), first-round pick (2017), third-round pick (2017).

Rams get: Titans' first-overall pick (2016), fourth-round pick (2016), sixth-round pick (2016).

So the Rams pick #1 and then not again until the 4th round? And no first round pick next year? This is like the Redskins trade in reverse. Feel like this is not going to end well for them.

In the article I just read they didn't mention next years picks until the end of the article so it looked like just a couple seconds and a third to move up.

Then they mentioned the picks next year at the end.

It feels like a very high price.

If I was the Titans I might try and package #15 and one of the seconds and move back into the high single digits (possibly to pick up a guy like Staley).

Terrible trade for the Rams. I could see giving up that much if there was a Manning type talent coming out this year, but for Goff or Wentz? This reeks of Kroenke wanting to make a splash in LA so he can start selling some tickets. Keenum and Foles weren't going to put many butts in the seats.

I would guess the Rams think they are going to have access to tons of free agents starting as early as next year. Some will be so cal guys that want to come home. Some will just like the idea of playing in LA. And some will want to be a part of this super fancy new stadium that's being opened up.

If that's their thought process, the one position where pulling a really good free agent is tough is QB. So why not make the move to #1 and grab your QB and let him start taking some lumps...err, I meaning learning to play in the NFL while you start signing the free agents over the next couple years.

And it doesn't hurt that it's a huge move that makes a big splash, just the type of "splash" the NFL wanted from what it wants to be a flagship organization.

It still seems like a huge price to pay, but if that's their thought process I can understand it.

I haven't lined up the two side by side, but supposedly the Rams didn't give up near what Washington gave up to get RGIII.

Looks like Zeke Elliott will fight right in with the Cowboys:

He is denying it (from TMZ):

According to the report, cops also spoke with 4 witnesses -- but they all told cops they didn't see an assault. One of the witnesses was in the car at the time of the alleged incident.
Due to the conflicting reports, Elliott was NOT arrested -- but the accuser was referred to the prosecutor's office ... if she wants to try to press charges.
We reached out to Elliott's camp -- one person in his agent's office told us, "I can assure you [the allegations] are not true."

Dak gets a look early, and this sorta has a Bledsoe/Brady feel to it.

how hurt is Garapollo? if he's out next week as well then I guess it's Edelman at qb when they play home against the bills. unless they sign and get another qb ready in the next 8 days

If the Pats beat the Bills starting Edelman, a newly signed QB, some bum off the street, or a diseased yak, Buffalo has to fire their entire front office and coaching staff on the spot. Don't even let Rex Ryan get on the plane back to Buffalo. The midweek news conference should just be a bunch of guys walking back and forth to a moving truck carrying boxes that say "Loser's Office".

Guess it's safe to say that Carson Wentz has ROY locked up if he continues to play even close to the level he's playing at now for the rest of the season. Hard to believe how good he has looked as a starting rookie from game 1. Especially when you consider that he missed most of the preseason with broken ribs.

Wonder if we'll get to see Goff starting this year? Comparing him and Wentz throughout the season would've been an interesting story line to follow, but I guess Goff simply wasn't ready for the NFL yet.
