Wanted to get this going before someone (ahem… ECC) beat me to it.

But really, I’m going to savor the 2021 season just a bit longer. :D

Love it.
I am still on cloud 9 but who say's we can't repeat? But the great thing now is we can savor this for the next 7-8 months.
But for now...

Also, this was the 4th NFL Championship for the Rams and they are the only NFL franchise to win championships representing 3 cities (Cleveland in 1945, Los Angeles in 1951 and 2021, and St. Louis in 1999).

And Dallas thinks they are America's team...

And the Cardinals are probably the only NFL franchise to NOT win a championship in 3 different cities (Racine, St. Louis, Phoenix (Tempe/Glendale))

Enjoy your championship guys. I would like something besides the '97 Cats and 2001 Diamondbacks someday...

Do the Rams get a compensatory pick for having a minority coach hired away from them (Ejiro Evero)?

Rams have made a killing at that the past four years. Develop minority coaches then get a 3rd or 4th round pick when they get a promotion with another team.

Probably the only part of the Rooney Rule that’s working, but maybe only for the Rams?

I haven't followed the Rams since the Roman Gabriel days, but being a fair weather fan am now piqued by them.

Forgot where I read it, but the article talked about how well the Rams have done with non-first round picks, since they keep giving them away in trades like with Stafford. Jared Goff was the last 1st round pick they kept, and now he is gone and actually doing well with Detroit.

The obvious example was a 3rd rounder.

Kupp would have been a late first rounder but he ran a 4.6 40 at the combine.

Correct. He set like 6 FCS and 25 EWU records so he wasn’t a schlub.

I think the other thing was he didn’t look like your prototypical slot receiver like an Edelman so it was hard to gauge how he would be on the next level for some teams.

6 other receivers were chosen before Kupp in that 2017 draft including 3 in the top ten.

Would love to have Von back. He was a beast in the playoffs.

But he’s also older and more injury prone so it’s got to be a deal that still allows them some flexibility. 7 games is not worth a $20M cap hit.

I agree with you Chi but I also think having rotation depth on the DL was a key reason for the team's success, especially late in the year/playoff time.

But I get the financial concern as well.

Exactly why I don’t want a Von Miller signing to stop us from extending guys like Greg Gaines and A’Shawn Robinson.

Looks like Noteboom resigned for 3 years. Great move especially with Whitworth's future unknown.

Unless Whit pulls a Brady, he’s gone. So yeah, we need Noteboom bad.

I held out hope, but I’m glad they didn’t give him the contract Buffalo just did. $50M guaranteed for a 33 year old who probably won’t ever again play a full season is insane to me.

I guess that means no OBJ who I think I would prefer even coming off the injury.

Thinking the same thing. Still a lot of weapons with Kupp, a returning Woods, Higbee, and now Robinson.

I know everyone liked Hekker but I’m glad he’ll be punting elsewhere next year.

Draft a kid with a big leg late this year.

Agree. He’s digressed a bit.

But I do thank and appreciate what he did. Man, he was a great punter for the Rams.

I would argue that he was always an average punter who made a couple of key punts in big moments, but he was most loved for the fake punts under Fassel.

Hmmm. For a few years nobody could match his pooch punts.

Stafford just got a 4 year extension for $160M.

Yikes $40M a year is rather steep. What is it about Rams QB contracts?

Lot of dust in here…
I hate that they traded him, but I was personally touched that they took far less to trade him to the team he wanted to go to. Class organization treating a class act with dignity and respect.

Have you seen their scheduled?

Bills, Cowboys, Bucs, Chiefs, Packers, Chargers…

Toughest schedule in the league. 5 of the 8 road games against playoff teams.

Better be ready for everyone’s best shot.

Watched a little bit of AD’s news conference to kick off whatever camp this is. Dude is hilarious. His smile when asked how close he was to actually retiring was priceless, but the best moment was when he was asked about staying in shape during the offseason…

“We’ll, I like to take my shirt off so…”

It’s done. 5 years $110M

I’d love to see a breakdown of what the salary situation will look like in three years. Feels like they’ll have the entire salary locked into like 5 guys.

As long as it’s the right 5. :D

Well it’s not like they have to fork out big money to high draft choices for a few years right?
