So much for tanking for Caleb Williams!

It got changed at the last second to “give the ball to Kyren Williams.”

Thought without Kupp we’d get smashed in Seattle. But the Rams had the ball for 2/3 of the game and the D gave up only 180 yards.

Love beating Pom Pom Pete too!

I know it’s just one game, but the young guys look talented. Puka and some of the kids on D looked especially good. And Tutu may not be a bust.

Makes me wonder if AD and Kupp will be Rams after the trade deadline. :(

Ha! Not sure I’d go that far, but the team looks far more talented.

And the O line looked pretty good especially in pass protection. Stafford didn’t get touched.

Akers and Jefferson were disappointing. They better watch their roster spots.

Carroll always has some real stellar types on his team, like Metcalf. You could see how fired up Aaron Donald and the rest of the team were about beating those jackasses. Rematch is at SoFi on November 19.

I stopped watching after the deflection interception.

I just don't get when you have first and goal at the 3 you run 3 straight pass plays. Rams should have had a nice lead going into the half.

They were running the ball really well. They were pass blocking like shit. So McVay called eleventy hundred pass plays in a row right up until there was a minute left with no timeouts and THEN he ran the ball right up the middle.

It’s like he lost his brain. Down a touchdown with three minutes to go in the third quarter and he’s got Stafford out there running pass play after pass play. It was just dumb.

I think McVay tries too hard to outsmart defenses.

Pleased with the defensive effort especially in the first half.

I didn’t have high hopes to begin with. It just sucks that Stafford, AD, & Kupp can’t just sit out until the talent and effort around them matches theirs.

3 out of the next 5 games are very winnable. Is that enough to keep this team in the playoff hunt?

I want the playoffs so bad for AD, Stafford, and Kupp. I’d hate it if they didn’t get at least one more stab at a run before they start retiring or get traded away.

And those 2 that are not winnable are Baltimore and San Fran. I wasn't going to go to the Giants game but I might change my mind. :D

The NFC wildcard playoff picture is crazy. Basically 6 teams vying for 2 playoff spots currently and the NFC South leader Atlanta is only 6-6.

Nice 3 game winning streak. Stafford is playing well and they've cut down the turnovers. The D is more bend not break but not giving up big plays.

That’s 5 wins out of the last 6 games for the Rams who are now in the 2nd wildcard playoff spot.

Amazing since they were floundering at 3-6 in early November. A stabilized offensive line, a new found running game led by Kyren Williams and Stafford being Stafford has led the resurgence.

Demarcus Robinson had an amazing game last night. So with Nacua and Kupp, that now gives Stafford 3 reliable targets to attack defenses.

The defense is still a concern. They are doing just enough to win games but they almost blew a big lead last night similar to what happened last week vs. Washington.

With how mediocre the NFC is I think the Rams will end up making the Playoffs, but with how young the team is, and its inability to put away even bad teams, I don’t see them going far.

But it’s a nice set up for next year. They should actually have cap space AND draft picks and could pick up some pieces for one last serious run before Stafford and Donald retire.

From Field Yates (@FieldYates)
Aaron Donald’s 10-year career so far:

2014: Defensive Rookie of the Year, Pro Bowl
2015: 1st team All Pro, Pro Bowl
2016: 1st team All Pro, Pro Bowl
2017: Defensive Player of the Year, 1st team All Pro, Pro Bowl
2018: Defensive Player of the Year, 1st team All Pro, Pro Bowl
2019: 1st team All Pro, Pro Bowl
2020: Defensive Player of the Year, 1st team All Pro, Pro Bowl
2021: 1st team All Pro, Pro Bowl
2022: Pro Bowl
2023: 1st team All Pro, Pro Bowl
And don’t forget Super Bowl winner.

I think he’s going to ball out this weekend and it wouldn’t surprise me if we’re seeing him making game-clinching plays again this year.

Not to mention the countless times he gets double or even triple teamed allowing one his teammates to make a play.

So many storylines tomorrow night against the Lions - Detroit hasn’t won a playoff game in forever, Stafford returning to Detroit. Goff against his old team and under the spotlight. Should be a good one.

And why McVey doesn’t run the ball inside the 10 continues to baffle me.

Rams better be able to get into Goff’s face or this will be a long night.

Rams will be goddamn dangerous next year.

Convince Stafford & AD to run it back one more year, plus all that young talent, 10 draft picks (including a 1st rounder!), and $50M in cap space?? Go out and get whoever you need and let’s win another fucking Super Bowl.

Edit: Looks like I’m going to get my wish. Stafford is in for another year and Donald says he is too.

Sad to see him go. Happy to not have to watch his body start to break down and betray him.
