There are not better center mids, right mid, and coaching? I just expect more from the USWNT.

So we've got China on Friday and have to go without holiday and Rapinoe. Shouldn't need them.

Well, Germany just stole one. This draw is stupid. The top 3 teams are on the same side of the bracket.

The ladies are looking good tonight. They have not given up a goal in the last 468 minutes. That's insane.

I love how the announcers are trying to say this game is not over but they know it is.

Amazing, crazy, stunning, crushing(to Japan). Was awesome.
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

So I guess Carli Lloyd is pretty good, right? How come leading up to the WC and even during it all I ever heard was Wambach this and Wambach that with a touch of Solo every now and then. Then, all of a sudden, I am watching a bit of the pregame show yesterday and they are talking about how Lloyd is the best player in the World, not the USA but the World! Did I miss a ton of hype y talk about Lloyd?

Here is an article from the start of the WC by Mike DeCourcy about how vastly underrated she was and some of the reasons behind that: http://www.sportingnews.com/soccer/stor ... um=desktop

TL:DR version - Her ex coach had a personality conflict with her and benched her at some very inopportune times. Plus the marketing of the team seemed to ignore her in favor of other players (like Wambach).
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Wonder how much a parade for these women is going to cost, more than they were awarded for the victory?
