I didn't know Allen was a tripper. Another reason to hate him.

Maryland has stumbled along all year never being impressive and just squeaking out a lot of games they should have run away with. This is about what should happen when they actually see a good team.

So long as Oregon doesn't pull an epic choke job, Duke is done. They're just overmatched.

I don't a pac 12 coach to get to the final 4 before CSM. Only if rondae, Stanley and Bash would've stayed in the down year or college basketball we would be skating to a championship. Damn you NBA!!!

Kind of?

This is in the Pond with a double-digit lead for Oregon more than half the game.

If anything, Oregon is taking Arizona's secret formula it discovered for beating Duke in that '11 game and making it look anticlimactic.

K can't even get close to the Ducks the second half. He'll probably lobby like hell to stay out of the West by any means necessary from now on.

Dorsey has 2 on 1 and takes a three with 21 seconds left on the shot clock w 2 and a half minutes left in the game. Lmao.

Duke are the kings of the subtle trip and push and almost always get away with it. Then they cry like babies to the refs when they dont get their way. Spoiled brats

Lmao @ Allen blowing off Brooks. Allen easily into top 5 duke dickheads of all time. Hope he gets his face reconstructed in the NBA

As much as I can't stand Oregon, I can see they're a well coached team. Especially on O. Hope Miller grows in that department. Better style and adapt to his personnel. Glad they beat Duke and now I hope they lose the next game.

Coach K is such a douchebag. Scolds Brooks for taking a crazy long three instead of taking the shot clock violation, tells him in the handshake line, "You're too good a player for that", then denies he said anything. Can't wait until that ratface hypocrite motherfucker retires.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

totally inappropriate for Coach K to do that, and even more lameass of Brooks to publicly tell everyone about it after the game.

If I was Brooks, I'd tell everyone. K is a sanctimonious prick in defeat. It's time everyone woke up to that fact.

Isn't it also stepping on Altman's toes? Give your colleagues some space to coach their own players.

Plus, Brooks is a college student. K being a jackass is a lot less forgivable than Brooks getting mad and saying something. K is just being a punk. There's nothing wrong with not taking a shot clock violation there.

100% get where you and others are coming from here, its just a personal style thing for me.

im not into Brooks making the same poor judgement as Coach K and essentially doing the same thing (two wrongs dont make a right -- corny i know :D ) and bringing attention to a situation that really has no business even being talked about (not taking a shot clock violation) but i also understand the adage that he, Brooks, is a college student/player and the aforementioned is the greatest coach of the last five decades, allegedly.

the later should know better and show some class which is what he was trying to communicate to Brooks in that situation, he just failed miserably in his timing and delivery.

Brooks handled it a lot better than I would have. I would have either laughed in his face or whispered in his ear to suck my dick. All that was from Coach K was a power move sparked by bitterness. You beat me tonight, but I still am Coach K, the king of college basketball, and you aint shit. I'm all for class and being the bigger person in most instances, but there are still some points in life where you are a grown ass MAN and people need to be reminded of that.

This. Not only don't I fault Brooks for what he did, I wouldn't have faulted him for telling K that the three wasn't the only long thing K could eat.

Brooks did nothing wrong, it isn't K's place to morally monitor opponents even if he did something wrong and that is exactly the wrong place and way for K to make any valid point he had. That's an emotional place for both teams. K succumbed to the emotion and acted like a butthurt egotist, Brooks showed restraint by letting it go.

I did find it hard to believe there were more than several UA fans rooting for Duke to win over the Ducks.

No team I hate worse than Duke. Hate the coaches, hate the players, hate the NCAA giving Duke favorable seeds, hate the refs for the Duke calls, hate ESPN for fawning over them.

Duke is 0-4 in the Pacific time zone. Let's see how they get seeded next year.

Brooks' shot was kinda punk play, but given the reported trash talking throughout the game, probably just the last bit of that (the last "shot" - LOL!!)...

... regardless, when asked what K said, I believe that Brooks both 1) reported it accurately, and, 2) did so with class,

Ratface, OTOH, was a mealy-mouthed bastard.

I'm shocked!! Shocked, I tell you!!!

Meanwhile, I hope Grayson Allen's pain is still eating away at his heartless soul....
