It looks like he starts really low and on opposite side of his body. Kid is an absolute stud handling the ball.
Ended up with 13 assists, which has to be a small miracle in this game of fending for yourself. 0-3 on 3's though
He's really good. I worry he's too unselfish for what he is about to step into.
More shots for Bryce!

Reports were he and bryce got into an altercation and that Steve would use Ali as example in most of the teams defensive issues.

Do they not have enough scholarships for the incoming recruits? Will someone have to be "Alforded"?

This quote shows how far the interest level in UCLA basketball has declined:

"One student mistakenly called Bryce Alford the coach before correcting himself. Another asked if UCLA’s coach is John Wooden. A third simply said he thought the coach’s name was 'something like Jacob'."

Too bad daddy doesn't get paid enough to shell out whatever it costs university employees to send their children to UCLA. Time for a raise.

There is an element of things that scholarship players get that walks on don't, but yeah, the coaches son could probably alford to be a walkon.

"Alford" - verb: choosing family ties over group or career success

"Did you see they hired the boss's son to negotiate the China deal? I feel like they're really going to alford this one up."

Right, but Cal hoops fans don't see themselves as an elite hoops program on the brink of winning 8 straight titles. UCLA fans do.

He's a 1 and done (not sure I buy that from his camp) talent and UCLA will be an Adidas school for his one year here.

I doubt Leaf is a 1-&-Done, but I really don't think it matters once they get to this point. As you said, Adidas will still be selling UCLA gear next year, and that's all that matters. If Leaf wears UA for one or two years, no big deal. It's not like he's going to transfer and lose a year.

I think this signals that UnderArmour will get even more involved in AAU and high school partnerships.

Also getting a check for 15 million should help with buyouts

Probably more that the Compton Magic don't want to be it uber obvious that they steer their most talented guys to Adidas programs. Give it a couple of years and we'll see them ship most of their talent to Bobby Hurley.

Part of the Compton Magic "funnelling" is because of David Grace. He has close ties to the program. If Adidas wanted to steer guys to UCLA, Brown would have been at UCLA this past year

Nah. He wanted to go a school that would reach the NCAA tourney and finish higher than 10th.
