Well at least we know we'll have competent officiating in our upcoming game.

I haven't been watching all day (been a bit busy) but had heard someone mention the call in passing. I get to the computer, look at it...and holy fuck how do the refs miss that? I mean.....that's truly fucking incompetent reffing.
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

It wasn't just that call. There was another blatant goaltending call, a ridiculous 4th foul on Lindsey for bumping into a Gonzaga screener and on and on. Flat out negligence. I'm not sure this was quite as bad as our Butler game but it was damn close. Gonzaga is very likely to be out of the tournament right now giving fair officiating.

College basketball officiating is terrible everywhere. I've seen it be terrible in just about every conference, every conference tournament, and almost every NCAA tournament game

"Narrative controlling stuff" is the perfect term. Northwestern had all of the mo-mo at that point. Gonzaga was a prize fighter on the ropes that was erroneously bailed out by the referees.

So we going to talk about how the vaunted "11 teams in" ACC has now had 8 teams already sent home in the NCAA and NIT tourneys? Thank god Duke, UNC and Louisville were overseeded and wont face anyone super tough for another round (unless Michigan still has some magic left).

Louisville has been shooting the 3 ball much better tan I thought they were capable of. They keep shooting it this way and watch out region.

As an aside, I would love to see Wichita St beat Kentucky today. Just payback or a few years ago. Interesting that WSU spent almost 7M on the basketball program thus year. That is not mid major type money.

Michigan is on fire. What a story. Come from 9 down in the second half and now lead by 4 at the 4 minute mark

It's been a very quick half too. Media timeouts at 14:27, 5:44, and 2:06 so far. Pretty entertaining for how low scoring it is.

This is one heck of a game. I classify Wichita St on the same level as a Gonzaga, Butler, Creighton, or Xavier. Better than mid-majors but not major Universities.

After giving Witchita State a #1 seed a few years ago (which they deserved). The committee has insisted on screwing them

It's a shame... they are a great, well coached likable team

I have Wichita State above all of them to be honest, if we are talking about the tournament. Gonzagas got longevity going, but Wichita State has deep runs and plenty of very recent giant killings.

They really choked there at the end though running all that damn clock off. Drive to the basket early and work from there,Kentucky was the one looking at all the pressure. If all else fails, you still leave plenty of time to foul and have a shot to tie/win depending on the shot u take and how many FTs they knock down
