Michigan/UNC should be fun tomorrow. Michigan has a great opportunity to pull the upset.

Maine scores 26 points in the entire game and covers. Virginia is weird.

I like Michigan here. Simpson is one of the best defenders in the country and could contain Anthony. Teske is a fantastic rebounder and could negate Bacot on the glass. Without those two advantages... I don’t know what UNC has.
If I could parlay the next two UNC games as losses for the Tar Heels, I would. Their offense is atrocious and their defense relies on being bigger than the competition (to whit, they’ve played one team with post players taller than 6’9”). They have the ninth best offense in the ACC right now. They suck.

Great call YDF. 11 minutes to go and Michigan leads by 24. NC can’t score the basketball as they only have 36 points in 29 minutes of up tempo basketball. They look like a team that will really struggle against quality teams. Seems like a lot of both over valued and under valued teams this year. To me, more than normal
Also impressed with Howard and what he has brought to Michigan, especially on the offensive end. His 1 up 4 down set seems to get a great shot every time they run it

Agreed on the over valued / under valued early note (among your other good comments here).
Auburn, Texas Tech, Ohio State, Arizona... these weren’t supposed to be top ten teams but they look pretty darn good right now. Conversely UNC, KU, MSU, Duke and others have struggled. We’ll get it all sorted out over this next two weeks as teams get a meaningful collection of quality non-conf games.

Sure seems like Michigan belongs in the undervalued column. Unranked and #25 in KenPom a few days ago.

The North Carolina game looked closer than it was
Michigan absolutely dominated North Carolina and Gonzaga, really impressive
Them and Dayton should jump high into the polls
Michigan has Louisville coming up, should be really interesting. They could be #1 if they pull that one off.

Louisville’s defense is really good. Michigan can’t run their offense at all. They are playing the pack line like it is supposed to be played. Choking off any drives. Sean Miller would be proud

Did everyone get a little carried away with Michigan? They go from unranked to #4 in the country after beating a overrated North Carolina team and taking down a thin Gonzaga team playing their thiird game in 3 days.

If the pollsters are so smart, why didn't they have Michigan ranked in the first place? It shows their pre-season picks are b.s.

Their efficiency doesn't match how bad it is. Before the Purdue game, their AdjO was #91, which isn't so bad. But there's a difference between an efficiency ranking and just not being able to score enough points if your opponent scores more than a point a minute.

312th
Virginia’s offensive efficiency is 312th of 353 D1 teams. That’s the raw efficiency that doesn’t include prior season performance.
