Ironically, Mean Gene did not play in that game if I remember correctly.gumby wrote:Wondered about this as we fell behind 36-22. It's remarkable. I remember the trip to LSU under Lute. It was for Edgerson. Cats got run off the floor. Doesn't happen often.
Walton had 13 points 4 rebs and 3 assists. Edgerson was the one who did not play.Zero wrote:That trip to LSU before Christmas without Luke was something as well.

I never really hated Dick Vitale until the Dec 1990 game there. Dukie must of came at least 3 times that game.Zero wrote:Hey Dave!DiehardDave37 wrote:Walton had 13 points 4 rebs and 3 assists. I was talking about the 2002-03 season where we were number 1 and went into LSU without Luke and lost right before Christmas. Damn that gym.
Damn, I remember that game ......Shaq was unstoppable.catgrad97 wrote:We've never won at LSU. F'ed every time we have ever entered that building.
And yes, Vitale did jizz extra-hard over Shaq in that '90 game, especially when he went coast-to-coast for a dunk.
And his nine fouls were a season high against Arizona, too!! No other player came close....Bangkok Wildcat wrote:Damn, I remember that game ......Shaq was unstoppable.catgrad97 wrote:We've never won at LSU. F'ed every time we have ever entered that building.

All uncalled. Meanwhile Sean Rooks got fouls for breathing on Shaq...pc in NM wrote:And his nine fouls were a season high against Arizona, too!! I would expect Arizona football to win 75% of those games.gumby wrote:Wouldn't most teams have a great record in games they score at least 80?
So more of a defensive stat. OK.97cats wrote:from memory, this season alone:

all lost games when scoring 80 or more. that record for Sean Miller in games in which AZ scores 80 or more spans seven seasons now and only accounts for one loss, in 62 games.

I can't remember, where did we rank in P12 for scoring offense last year?Puerco wrote:But Miller coaches slow, boring offense, so if we score 80, that means the other team is really, really bad.
Don't come to me with 'facts' and 'statistics'. The eye test says we were slow and boring.Harvey Specter wrote:I can't remember, where did we rank in P12 for scoring offense last year?Puerco wrote:But Miller coaches slow, boring offense, so if we score 80, that means the other team is really, really bad.
That was also game 71 of the 71 game winning streak.gumby wrote:Following year, Shaq fouled out. Finished with 10 and 4, with Rooks and Stokes bracketing him.

The announcers (Lamar Hurd ?) made a big deal about Miller taking his next-to last timeout so early. They conceded that it was imperative to change the defense before any more time elapsed.gumby wrote:Interesting timeout with 12 minutes to go. But the guys really clamped down after that.
And 25-0. Surprised we hit 90 that many times.97cats wrote:62-1
i was wondering what that number was -- i knew the loses were zero, but thank you for calculating the wins!!!gumby wrote: And 25-0. Surprised we hit 90 that many times.

great game -- Jones and Parrom (imo, Parrom's best game ever in an AZ uni....a glimpse of what might-a-been sans the gunshot ) were both fantastic with Jones making his statement with clutch buckets in crunch timegumby wrote:It was a quick count, so it's definitely an unofficial number.
