Sean Miller would do well at Florida. The IARP will rule, but I think it's doubtful Miller gets more than a few games suspension. Heck, even a full year, and Miller is cleared, since he didn't coach this year.

This has me excited to see his next team. Could be the one that gets him to that elusive Final 4.

Also agree Florida would be a good fit for him.

I like the idea of a school hiring him now, before the ruling. Roll of the dice but it could really pay off nicely.

Florida, G-Town and Maryland would be agreat fit for him. South Carolina has interest but I think he could do much better than them

Hearing Sean Miller to S. Carolina rumors. Nothing confirmed. I think he can do better, but not sure if GTown or Florida are interested.

South Carolina is interesting for Sean. He could win in the SEC and it has resource, but would be second to football.

Also at 52 is he looking for a stepping stone or more long term destination.

Rick Barnes has something special at Tennessee which might be a decent model to follow.

South Carolina did make a Final Four in 2017, but outside of that, they are a much better women's basketball school than men's. The issue with a team like South Carolina is pecking order in the SEC, especially with Texas and Oklahoma coming in. Kentucky will still be Kentucky, and will be the SEC Basketball school. But you also have Florida and Arkansas, both with hoops national championships. Plus Tennessee, Auburn, and Alabama, pouring football $$ into basketball. With Texas and OU, that puts a school like South Carolina already in a tough spot just in its conference.

Miller can coach, no doubt, but can he get the same type of recruits to South Carolina as he did to Arizona? Guess we may soon find out.

Well we know Amy Miller likes grass.

Wonder if she’ll like South Carolina more than RichRod’s wife?

SC isn't like a sleeping giant, but they have solid facilities and are in the middle of some talent in GA, NC and VA.

I'd be more optimistic about the SEC. There aren't too many blue bloods there. That's why you see schools like UF, who were blah before Donovan, rise quickly.

SC can also benefit from being one of the few UA schools. I doubt Miller would want to retire there if he does well, but SC offers some advantages.

It's a great campus and college atmosphere (I visited there as my daughter applied and had a dance audition).

Just not a lot of mens bball tradition, but a pretty darn good sports fan base.

Just a step down from AZ, that's all.

Reports that Florida is hiring Todd Golden, who just took San Francisco to the tournament for the first time in a few decades. Interesting hire. Mike White went from Colorado St. to Florida, and the Gators never good under White, but not Great. I would take Miller over Golden in a heartbeat.

As for South Carolina, beautiful campus, and great athletics support. Just not a men's basketball school. Miller will do well, as he did well at Xavier and Arizona. But I don't see the DeAndre Aytons of the world ever going to South Carolina. And that's OK, as Miller has shown he can win without 5 stars.

The flip side is the pressure to get regular one and dones or Ayton type talents isn't what it is at Arizona. People complained about Miller's post-FBI results, but at South Carolina, those same seasons get you extended.

South Carolina would be totally happy with consistent seasons like we had in 19-20 and 20-21.

Also, if this year's Arizona team proves anything, it's that Miller has a solid eye for under the radar talent. Guys like Terry, Mathurin, Tubelis, Kriisa and Koloko are all the type of recruiting rank that's gettable at South Carolina.

If I'm Sean I'm in no hurry. The momentum will build now that multiple ADs are apparently okay with going in that direction. I think Maryland of Florida are very real possibilities if he can slow roll the process.

Then again there may be personal reasons for wanting to go back to Xavier.

Miller, along with Sumlin, were required to seek employment if fired by the UA without cause to mitigate the amount that the UA had to pay them.

I'm sure that he still has the right to slowly consider multiple offers.

I think Xavier would be tough to take if he has aspirations of getting a blue blood job again. Sean's too good of a dude to want to leave that same fan base twice.

Actually think Xavier's an ideal situation for him. Lower expectations than some of these other schools with openings (Maryland, Florida, Georgia), and he'd do very well recruiting that region given the many pro players he's coached and given the general success he had at AZ. Miller is a nationally recognized coach.

Sean should not get back into coaching before the NCAA rules on any violation he may have been accused of. If he does it is all he will hear about and the only questions he will get. Sean doesn't need the money and should want to clear his name or serve any penalty before taking up the mantel again. Then he will be on a revenge tour.

Does anyone know with the new rules, does Xavier get the same punishment handed to them that the NCAA gives the UofA since Miller will be their coach?

Can't wait to see how he handles the inevitable question from the media about the "buick" comment in the introductory press conference.
