Odogg never misses a moment to point out an autocorrect error.
In a perfect world, all players should come in with a mindset that "it's on me to spark the team." When you're as good as Ayton, that attitude has even more power. You can demand Ayton deliver wins because he can meet that demand.YoDeFoe wrote:Fully agree. For Ayton, the game can be too easy and a little meaningless when compared to the NBA life shortly ahead of him. Miller keeping Ayton challenged and engaged by putting the wins and losses on Ayton... that's good motivation, good coaching.Spaceman Spiff wrote:I think some of it is designed to pull the best out of Ayton. Ayton's best games have been in big ones where we needed him to bring it. Putting him in the mindset of a catalyst (hopefully) brings out that competitive response all the time.EastCoastCat wrote:I love that CSM is putting the success of this team on Ayton's back. I know it's stating the obvious but the fact he recognizes how special a player he has and the fact he could carry this team to a Final Four is a smart move on his part.
He's probably come to a conclusion it's this teams best chance for success and even though he's a freshman he has seen enough to realize Ayton can handle it now.
We bash Miller all the time for his stubbornness on things like not using a zone defense but he deserves credit for going all in with DA carrying the load for this team this year.
I didn't see it, anyone have a clip of this?97cats wrote:on another note, the Sean Miller Curtain of Distraction ploy was one of the most hilarious things ive ever seen - i rewound it ten times and laughed till i cried...especially when Fran Frachilla said, "hey, come on, come back out" for the second free throw.

And Rawle wasn't even playing well. If he's hitting, the lead probably swells to 25 in those first 10 minutes.EastCoastCat wrote:When everyone just plays their role this team can play like we saw last night in the first 10 minutes.

We looked goooood. Just let the game come to them and let it revolve around Ayton....watch out.
Yes, that one was pretty good. I think the kid even had soaked his shirt, right? Even looked like Sean a bit. Best thing they've rolled out of there for sure.97cats wrote:on another note, the Sean Miller Curtain of Distraction ploy was one of the most hilarious things ive ever seen - i rewound it ten times and laughed till i cried...especially when Fran Frachilla said, "hey, come on, come back out" for the second free throw.

I did the same with youtube and Google images. It's gotta turn up at some point.Chicat wrote:I scoured Twitter and couldn’t find it. Sorry folks.
Had to go to Frankie Vision's excellent highlight videos because I knew Ayton was shooting free throws. The "942 Crew" told Paola Boivin they had it on their twitter feed. I looked through it and saw nothing. They were real proud of the naked MMA guy with the Shake Weight nobody knows who apparently went to ASU though.Chicat wrote:You’d think that clip would be all over the @911Crew or @0-6Crew (or whatever they’re called) twitter. Voluntary?97cats wrote:i said earlier in September that I didn’t think Sean Miller would survive the scandal and everything that comes/came with that over the long term, and I still feel that way today.
plus when I hear the phrase(s) “fresh start” and “fatigued” and “stress”, etc. over and over and over again I perk up.
Is there new info or is your current inclination an accumulation of the conditions surrounding things this year?97cats wrote:i said earlier in September that I didn’t think Sean Miller would survive the scandal and everything that comes/came with that over the long term, and I still feel that way today.
