Wish him luck. Attending UCLA might have very well saved his life and I hope he finds his playing time somewhere else.

As someone who has largely stopped following recruiting what do you mean by this?

Crazy, thanks for the link. Not sure how UCLA made a difference though compared to any other school he would've attended with medical care provided to athletes based on the article.

For sure, but I think as a parent, you default the thanks into the school he's at. I have no idea what sort of medical attention kids get at their various institutions

41st ranked player, 8th ranked PF and is not good enough for Arizona or UCLA?

Goodman with the 20/20 hindsight.

Does Goodman make the rankings?

Wasn't Chuck O'Bannon a McD AA?

It was said by Scheer and national recruiting analyst at the time that the name boosted the ranking

not that he’d xfr in-conference, but did ‘reef completely torch that bridge with miller when he bailed on his commitment?

Considering the circumstances at the time of the de-commit, his own health issues and the inability to crack UCLA's anemic line-up, I'd say there's no bridge to burn and O'Neal just isn't that good of a player and his de-commit ultimately did Arizona a favor.

Appears his younger brother isn't that good either, if some school is looking for a package deal.

Shareef may yet emerge as a solid player. Just seems he didn’t find his niche with Cronin, and some of these kids with famous last names probably have a sense of entitlement the size of Texas. I doubt Shareef transfers to another top level program. I’d expect to see him end up at like a UNLV or LMU or San Diego State.

We really don’t need seat fillers.

Shareef would do well to go to a Nevada, Boise State, or Fresno State.
