Agree wholeheartedly.

A lot of ADs would have just written him off...the future risk and all that.

If they have found a way to put Sean on the sideline AND mitigate risk? I am all in for Heeke. He also got the money for Sumlin and they floated some massive balloons. This story has allowed Scheer to reclaim some position lost in that process, but it seems Heeke played it perfectly. And if the president of the school is cool with it, too? Good on both of them.
We lost two recruits in the process. This last week was insane.

Even though there was more things on Pitino, the school made a horrible decision by acting quickly without gathering all the facts.

A month ago this board was singing Heeke's hosannas over the Sumlin hire.

We even have a thread dedicated to how he and the university president are "1000 percent" behind Miller.

That doesn't jibe with "tepid."

I swear to god, if they dim the lights at McKale tonight and Miller and Trier walk in wearing black Ride or Die T-shirts . . . I’m jumping out of my fourth floor Brooklyn apartment waving an Arizona flag on my way down the pavement. What a glorious way to go out. {insert eagle erection gif with block A flag here}

They didn't sign anywhere. They changed a meaningless placeholder verbal. We have room. We haven't recruited over them.

Or this week didn't actually matter there. The ESPN story did

So if he doesnt take questions now, will he coach tonight and be available afterwards or could he send Romar out to the sharks after the game?

It's not Miller's style to take questions after a conference like this regardless of the announcement - but that is scary nonetheless.

For btfd16:

"I didn't think I could cut it here either. But after what this board did, it would take the Arizona National Guard to get me out of here."

"Well there's a shock."

"Hey, you listen to me. With you, all the pistons are firing. We've got ten games to play. We're going to be a TOUGH TEAM TO BEAT. Now you come along for the ride. OK?"

Maybe legally he cant answer questions right now because they will be suing ESPN?

I’m not at all surprised he’s not going to take questions. The intrepid reporter pool will be desperately trying to crack the nut and he just doesn’t need that right now.

If its a statement from Miller, I don't think he's going to say I am coaching tonight. I think he says he is stepping aside for some period of time and Lorenzo is going to do a great job....

If he was coaching tonight or this year, my gut says the AD would be reading the statement.

Hold on - I'm losing it a little. What time is the presser EST? I can't do the math right now.

And if Miller is on the sideline I expect a 3 minute standing ovation when his name is announced. I want to see tears in his eyes....if he has any left.

You cannot put those losses on Heeke. He has responsibilities to the University not just the basketball team. And as far as the recruits go, why couldn't they have been as patient as Heeke and just wait until the facts came out before making a knee jerk life changing decision?

That wouldn't go through Pima County property records plus tax records indicate there is no mortgage on the property.

Warranty deed means ownership/entity change on the parcel. Also happened 1/23/15, 10/21/13, 9/26/13, and 12/16/11. Bought the House May 2009

Heeke and Robbins SHOULD have done something -- anything -- other than maintain complete silence for 6 days. After the first couple of days, there were plenty of questions raised about the "report". Even one of the regents, AND an opposing coach said something about it. But the only thing from either of those two was Robbins mumbling something in response to a question after he finished golfing. They absolutely should have said something within 2 days after the ESPN story.
