From Bud Withers. Says it all about Romar.
"I researched the past 10 NBA drafts this week, and the numbers are fairly startling: (UW uber-freshman Markelle) Fultz would be the seventh Husky in that period not to play in the NCAA tournament in the same year he was drafted in the first round, joining Spencer Hawes (2007), Terrence Ross and Tony Wroten (2012); C.J. Wilcox (2014); Marquese Chriss and Dejounte Murray (2016). (Ross and Wilcox played in the 2011 tournament, last one to include the Huskies.) The mind-bending part is that no other NCAA school has had more than two such players."

Six-foot-nine, 220-pound senior Malik Dime, a big man with a big name did not take too kindly to Colorado’s students.

“We were talking the usual game talk with the players like we usually do,” Dylan, a CU student said. “Malik looked over at us at one point and said ‘I’m gonna come over there and slap the s*** out of you.’ We didn’t think that was real so we just laughed and then at the end of the half he came over to us and pretended like he was giving me a handshake and I reached out and he pulled back and slapped me in the face and the follow through hit the person sitting right next to me, which was Brian.”

“I wasn’t shocked because he said, ‘I’m gonna slap the s*** out of you,'” Brian, a C-Unit member added. “Jeremiah Paige and Larry Eustachy have said worse, we have a long tradition of getting under people’s skin but nobody has ever taken physical action, and I’m surprised.”

Dime took the rare step, or hand in this instance over the line and hit a Colorado student.

“I thought it was a real handshake,” Brian told. “He came over with a windup, it was a hard hit. It’s a double face, there’s no way around that.”

“One slap, two faces, I was impressed, he’s got a big wingspan,” Dylan remarked.
Sounds like UW just suspended him indefinitely. Pac12 is reviewing it as well

that truly hurt to type, and I thought of deleting, in hopes that it isn't true, but geez, it sickens me to think that they'll likely get to a FF and or NC before we do.
Altman is a great coach but thats a stretch, less resources or not. He has won one pac 12 crown, Miller has won 3, but we will say two since one was before Altmans time in Eugene, and if we use the same time standard they have one elite eight to our two. Yes, they have had a very nice little run and while it seems like they do more with less, when was the last time we returned a player on Brooks' level? We lose guys that good to the draft after one year and we have high turnover with guys leaving early. Oregon this year has Brooks, Bell, Benson as Juniors, Boucher and Ennis as Seniors, and Dorsey as a sophomore. The only guys they lost from the prior season were both seniors. Until Trier came back, we were being carried by three freshmen. The season before that, they only had Dorsey as an impact freshman and he may have been the fourth best player on that team. That team had only lost two prominent or semi prominent pieces, again, both seniors.

Miller has consistently been a contender despite losing big player after big player early and/or seemingly having more than half his roster turning over on a regular basis. Not to mention all the shit luck with injuries and guys bailing out to go elsewhere. Oregon teams are pretty much always loaded with big experience because almost every one of their guys stick around for four years

Yet another good take rg.....CST, I get your frustration but no way would I ever trade Miller for Altman. I too will be sickened if they get the FF before us but until we get a good, consistent PG again, we are somewhat limited IMHO....really ironic for 'Point Guard U'

Damn, I still miss TJ!

Every time I watch Oregon Dorsey looks all-world. I know he doesn't always play like this but everytime I turn them on he's hitting daggers.

Still think it was a mistake to encourage him to go elsewhere. Easier to say w hindsight but I said it when it happened. Give me a proven bucket getter over a project like Simon everytime. U can argue Dorsey and Trier but Dorsey was here. U take him and still stay hard after Trier.

That is the nail in the coffin for Utah.

Barring winning out until the PAC finals, they are NIT bound.

At this point it's 4 in , Cal w a litte work, and Tah in Nit.

Cal's defense is amazing. There is a reason why they are the best defensive team in the PAC 12 and we are witnessing it first hand.

Oregon is also a notorious for playing poorly in Berkeley

Debatable. Arizona only gives up .8 points a game more (basically all from that Oregon game) and beat Cal twice holding them under 60. Still would give the nod to Arizona for best defense.

Cal is making terrible decisions. Moore throwing a pointless 3/4 court pass crosscourt was just something you can't do. Now Singer throws it away and the Ducks lead.

They went conservative early. They looked scared to shoot on that possession with 30 seconds or so.
