I wouldn't mind a repeat of the 2 seed beating the 1.

It's a pretty nice path to the Final Four. Slow down the four guys on the court with Kaminsky.

VCU/Baylor as potential matchups aren't that bad. I was shocked how much love the Big 12 got. Wisky's tough, but not unbeatable.

Potenial 2nd round matchup against Thad Matta. Potential sweet 16 against Xavier. Potential Elite 8 against Wisconsin. CSM Memory Lane Tour.

Bring it on!

my friend's take:

bo ryan seems to have a subversive disdain for the more free-flowing aesthetics of basketball that make a conservative team oddly fascinating in the same way that even the most buttoned-up perry como xmas song is hard to turn off when it comes on the radio. it's like watching orderly traffic cross a bridge for 40 minutes.

Baylor's zone doesn't scare anybody? It's our biggest weakness and they have it perfected. It's not like UCLA who threw together a zone and almost beat us with it. Fuck, I really didn't want that matchup. Thankfully their offense isn't very good and their biggest strength, offensive rebounding, should be negated by our rebounding

I saw them at the 3 and told my wife shit, they play a zone. One game they look like a top 8 team, next game they blow.

We could have had much easier road but oh well. Keep winning

I agree. Baylor is the only real roadblock I see until the Elite 8. I'm hoping BYU can get hot and somehow knock them out before then.

Of the three seeds, I'd want Oklahoma, Baylor, Iowa State, Notre Dame, in that order. Baylor presents a challenge, but it's a third round game. Nothing easy at that point. I was glad when they announced Iowa State in the South, and I knew that meant Baylor. We play defense, too.

They have not seen the likes of a Rondae or TJ. We are going to really ramp it up against them if it comes to that.

If we play like we did against (fill in the blank ), then (fill in the blank) beats us by 30.

The Cats seem to be peaking at the right time. Baylor and Wisky should be concerned about us.

If we are "scared" of playing Baylor under any circumstance, then we have no business talking about making a Final 4 or winning a national championship.

We struggle against zones with size/length. UCLA actually has a better average height and effective height than Arizona. Baylor has neither. They are very, very mediocre in both, actually.

Scott Drew also shouldn't strike any fear into anyone for obvious reasons.

There is nothing until the Elite 8 that really concerns me. We beat either VCU or Ohio State by 10+ IMO.

JWill just picked Arizona to beat Gonzaga for the NC.
Seth, Dick and Rece picked Arizona over Wisky.
Missed the Bilas picks.

Gottlieb and Davis picked Arizona in FF.

F this, Wisconsin should be shitting their pants thinking about having to go back to LA to play us again this year.

Talk about motivation.

Not as worried about VCU/Ohio State/Baylor as others. Rondae on Russell would be fun to watch.

Baylor hasn't played very well away from home, I don't think they would fare very well against Arizona in Staples if they even make it that far.

Arizona should and will make quick work of the west bracket until we reach the EE.

The game with the Badgers will be a war of attrition, but I think we get them by 2-4 points for the win.

Facing a undefeated Kentucky team in the FF semi finals is a discussion on a whole other level.

The Arizona / Kentucky FF game will actually be the National Championship game because whomever wins that game is winning to whole thing.

It will either be the cactus Cats or the blue grass Cats for the NC!

Fran Fraschilla, Tim Welsh, Cory Alexander pick Arizona in the West. Only Gaudio on that panel picked Wisky.

Nate Silver of 538: Arizona 46 percent chance to advance. Wisky, 33 percent. UNC 8 percent. Baylor 5 percent. OSU 3 percent.

That 538 tool is a lot of fun.

The only team I'm worried about before Wisky is Baylor and only because of the zone. IMO, the zone gives an inferior team a better chance to win if the superior team has an off night. We play any better than below average and we win that one going away. Wisky worries me because their offense is enough better than ours to overcome our superior defense, and, well because of last year.

Need York to show up for that Baylor game. And the way bash has been playing, I want him in the middle of that zone and have Zeus and Rondae on the low blocks.

If we rebound effectively, we can hammer Baylor. The only times we've had an issue with zone (first OSU, UCLA) it's been coupled with poor rebounding. Zone gives you a chance to get on the offensive glass. TJ and Stan are the big ones to knock it down to spread the D, imo. Better to have your regular guys bust the zone than rely on a zone buster.
