Six-foot-nine, 220-pound senior Malik Dime, a big man with a big name did not take too kindly to Colorado’s students.

“We were talking the usual game talk with the players like we usually do,” Dylan, a CU student said. “Malik looked over at us at one point and said ‘I’m gonna come over there and slap the s*** out of you.’ We didn’t think that was real so we just laughed and then at the end of the half he came over to us and pretended like he was giving me a handshake and I reached out and he pulled back and slapped me in the face and the follow through hit the person sitting right next to me, which was Brian.”

“I wasn’t shocked because he said, ‘I’m gonna slap the s*** out of you,'” Brian, a C-Unit member added. “Jeremiah Paige and Larry Eustachy have said worse, we have a long tradition of getting under people’s skin but nobody has ever taken physical action, and I’m surprised.”

Dime took the rare step, or hand in this instance over the line and hit a Colorado student.

“I thought it was a real handshake,” Brian told. “He came over with a windup, it was a hard hit. It’s a double face, there’s no way around that.”

“One slap, two faces, I was impressed, he’s got a big wingspan,” Dylan remarked.

I’m honestly thrilled for them and for us - a good Pac-12 is good for Arizona.

Yes it would suck of they dropped a few games in the non con that they should have won with green, only to get him for our meetings and then squeak one out, that would hurt our seeding.
Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

Watched the whole game replay of Washington vs Gonzaga. While the Zags were better, they played poorly, while Kempang kept UW in the game at both ends of the court. When we play UW he'll be the one guy to take out. He's a freak and he runs the floor and gets up off the floor a lot faster than either of our bigs. He can guard out to the perimeter and he's a pretty efficient scorer around the rim.

... because of the Gonzaga win? Whatever.

The Zags' action resembles us. But they couldn't stop UW dribble penetration, and still UW starting guards didn't finish especially well and were TO machines. Brooks, their leading scorer may have a taken a shot other than baseline-right or from the stripe, but I don't remember it. Wood is a good shooting big with an interesting game/touch, but he'd have to contend with Keshad.

Anything can happen in conference play, but for us to lose to them we'd have to play a C- game to their A+.

I don’t know what thread to put this in so here will have to do.

I couldn’t figure out for the life of me why UW was a 6.5 point fav at WSU, but they’ve jumped out here early on WSU.

Go huskies.

There was a whole bunch of people that knew some shit about that game.

I assume that was WSU’s first (and only) PAC loss at home this year, and betters were all over it.

Hopkins has done such a forgettable job at Washington it's difficult to remember the Huskies were P12 regularly season champions in 2018-19, going 15-3 in his second season in Seattle.

Good for Danny Sprinkle if offered, but this is NOT a job I'd want in taking a limping Washington program into the Big Ten.

Unless you consider the UDub Admin making a big NIL push with the message that the basketball team will need all the support the Football team gets to compete in the mega-conference. The donor support will need to be on par with the Michigans, USCs, and so on to compete in all the major sports.

But if I’m a coaching candidate, I’m gonna need all that in writing. No vague promises thanks.

This is actually pretty cool. Can't even remember when UA had open practices. My dad used to go to them at McKale when Lute was coach, but those ended long before Lute stopped coaching.

and a skywalk for fans to watch practice

Wonder how many opposing scouts will be there?
