Had to lookup what a "normal" school is:

http://peoplesguidetomaricopa.blogspot. ... l-asu.html

The school was established as an institution to instruct teachers on how to teach the norms of society to their students, as well as agricultural and mechanical skills.

Taught people to be "normal" and probably miserably shortchanged them thus setting up a culture of failure that permeates today.

When a downtrodden group takes ownership of the words used to beat them down they end up flipping the script. Like when gay people started calling themselves "queer" and women started to refer to themselves and each other as "bitches" and previous attempts by ASU such as when they started calling each other "diseased whore" and "pizza boy", although those last two attempts were largely unsuccessful.

I'm not saying ASU will win, but against Utah they have another chance to capitalize on the "looking ahead" factor of strong teams on a Tempe-to-Tucson road swing.

Well, that's good. Because they don't deserve to ear the name 'Arizona'.

Speaking of ironic terms they're using as badges of honor, this "Curtain of Distraction" thing is odd. Literally when I first heard of it last year I thought it was some Arizona fans mocking them for hanging a curtain to distract people from the thousands of empty seats. I had no idea what it is. Apparently it got a lot of play last night vs. Utah, "causing" the Utes to miss a few free throws after going 12-12 in the 1st half... THIS CLOSE to swinging the 27-point game in their favor.

And hey, they set a student attendance record! Nevermind the fact that non-students may have set a non-attendance record.

Those wacky Normals. They blow.

It's only a 6 game conference losing streak for asu. They've had worse

ASU fans are dumber than I thought if they think there's a chance in hell Archie would not only go to the same conference as his brother, but to our most hated rival.

ASSU 'Whiteout' vs. Oregon

Post by Bangkok Wildcat »

Oh Man, you have to laugh at this thread http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=43&f=1681&t=13582862.......they are so freaking pathetic, LMAO. I actually felt sorry for them during Lisa Love's last year of terror but their d-bag attitude in football and Jahii's chin-up dunk during the triple OT loss has reminded me 'never again''.

Anyways, this thread on their site is pretty funny as they are complaining about not even owning white ASSU shirts, worried about filling seats, hoping they hand out free t-shirts so they can have something to wear, etc.

Once again, thank you God for giving me the brains and class to attend UA instead of sending me to hell as ASU :D . Enjoy the thread!

ASU Scout Men's Hoops Board???

Post by Bangkok Wildcat »

It's looking more like the Lady Hoops Board these days....lol. Sorry, even if our Lady's Team won the NC, I wouldn't care much (obligatory support minimum for anything positive on UA) as it's such a joke of a sport (thank you Title IX, Ugghhhh).

I'm loving the state of ASSU Hoops these days and regret ever feeling sorry for them during Lisa Love's Reign of Terror, lol.

When I first saw this and all the external props needed for it, I thought 'How is this allowed?'....It seems to be excessive IMO....when you are allowed to use so much space and/or use so many props it's getting really questionable.

So where's the line? lasers? flashing tits? fireworks? student use of the PA system? Seriously though, only this kind of crap would you expect at ASSU!

Now only if you can hack into their wiki and enter that! Lol.

Their fans are so lame, they just spanked OSU and there wasn't even a game thread! Activity on their boards (except to boast about their Lady Devils) is at an all-time low........As much as it goes against every fiber of my soul, I'm hoping that Herbie can win enough games to keep his job. Their hoops standards are so low that I don't think it should take much, lol.

Is this for real?

Check out end of game OSU @ Wells Fargo vs. end of game UO @ McKale and note the number of empty seats last 5 minutes in both blowouts. ASU game ended over 2 hours earlier so it's not like the old dudes in the stands had to go home and go to bed.

3/4 of the entire upper section was UA fans last time I was there. Really good layout, not too many bad seats in there. Buy the cheapest and move down

I hate to admit it, but I think it's pretty funny. I mean, what else do you expect these guys to do after they've donated their cans of food? Creative. And it keeps you entertained in the midst of some really boring basketball.
