Has anyone ever seen a picture of him where he doesn't look like a prison warden? Total politician living in his little make-believe college world. His full response to the criticism over the delayed hiring was that of a typical politician; pretty much ignore the basic premise of the question and grab the microphone to blast out a self-serving manifesto. We're currently under the hot lights and microscope over financial issues, but I'm quite sure Crow isn't particularly comfortable over any comparisons or publicity our review might spawn regarding his own ledgers.

God I hope so. Bobby no longer being their coach would be a dark day for the state of Arizona.

They took the names off uniforms because it was easier than paper bags over their heads...

With the final Pac 12 tournament over, let's look back on the greatest ASU moment in Pac 10/12 Tournament history... Sad Herb:

The Psychology Of Losers

Post by TheCatInTheHat »

We all know ASU sucks. Ugly campus, generally crappy school with endless false self-promotion, and mediocre to bad athletics for at least a quarter century. And then, your rival does much better, kicks your ass in everything that matters, and it's just too much to take. So here are a couple of gutless loser moves in response: Wear your yellow and brown beanie and/or t-shirt to Wildcat post-season games, recognizing the odds are with you that they'll eventually lose and you'll finally have something to celebrate, even if the fans of the other team think you're one strange a-hole. (Additional note for armchair analysts: they're always by themselves.) I first noticed this odd phenomenon at the 1998 Holiday Bowl, and I've seen it a number of times since then, including this year in Vegas. And, of course, the other one is the age-old 8th-grade level false flag operation of running to a fan site, pretending to be a disenchanted Wildcat fan, playing up every negative and predicting gloom and doom around every corner. Most reasonably intelligent adults take it about as seriously as the monologuing cartoon bad guys in The Incredibles. Transparent because they only show up after losses, and they're too dumb to keep "us" and "you losers" straight. It's cause for some enjoyment and amusement as proof that things are trending in the right direction.

Interesting article till I read this "He (Crowe) should also open the vault for Greg Byrne, the former Sun Devil and current Alabama athletic director who no longer has Nick Saban as his head coach. Even at the risk of a phone call that might go unanswered."

This just goes to show that they are so delusional in their appeal that they think there is a chance to get the AD at probably one of the premier athletic departments in the US. Try to just get a competent AD that is not protecting his former clients to keep them from getting fired. Then take your punishment for recruiting and covid violation which should keep you out of a bowl game for 2 years but that shouldn't hurt to bad because your talent will also.

Quite the takedown. And for as many separate points the article makes about the ongoing badness of ASU sports, nothing is mentioned of how dormant ASU's historical strong baseball program has recently become.

ASU is so in the dumps across the board that even are own recent headaches - Book R, losing $100Ms - isn't anything for ASU editorialists to deflect to.

I'm closer to a boomer than a millennial and never saw those that I remember, but that was hilarious. "Not everyday you meet a famous basketball coach, Mr Fritter?"
Cracking me up. The chemo room needed a good laugh ringing out through it .
Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.
