Reid Travis is going to be a beast wherever he ends up. I’m so happy we don’t have to face him anymore. He killed us. Tough loss for Stanford.

2 of the top 3 scorers on a potential top 5 team with Markus Howard returning leaving, sick of Wojo or don't like Howard returning? Anyway, I would love for Arizona to go after two 4s who can shoot from 3 but everyone is likely going after them.

Crazy that those two are not only transferring, but are doing so as a package deal and will sit out next season. Like NY says, they're going to be a hot commodity. But it'll be interesting to see what teams are truly willing (and able) to shelve two scholarships for next season for one year of Sam and two of his brother.

I mean, how weird is that? Can you remember a time when a coach made disparaging comments about a player -- mind you, not even one of his own! -- who decided to transfer?

Like Spiff said, having Boeheim hating on him makes me want him even more.

Goes to BC and only plays in 14 games, guess he must have been hurt. Didn't shoot well, and his A/TO ratio is awful.

Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

Is it me, or are we going to be significantly worse next season? That is, provided that Nico, Josh and Zeke are gone, and that Ziaire picks USC.

college basketball has really turned into a poor product. Constant roster turnover and transfers from lower level programs . All levels of the game being impacted. Feel bad for the mid majors losing their best players and maybe losing out on a dream for a tourney invite. Don't blame the kids but the college game is a disaster

Here's my wish list:

1. End one-and-done culture, even if it means top rated HS players start going to China instead of Duke
2. Require a two-year commitment from guys accepting athletic scholarships; if they renege on the commitment, they either postpone their own NBA draft eligibility or must pay back the university for all fees covered by their scholarship
3. Get rid of conference tourneys altogether or have them *after* Selection Sunday; just set the tournament field on the final Sunday of the regular season
4. Allow all transfers to play immediately, as long as they left their previous institution in good academic standing
5. Have more high-profile non-conference games between January and March
6. Let guys declare for the draft but be allowed to retain their NCAA eligibility as long as they do not hire an agent; they can pull out of the draft as late as they want, up to the day before the draft

It feels like we're really desperate when it seems like we're going after every transfer out there.

Sorta feels like CSM's first recruiting when he was hired....

UK's Johnny Zuzang enters the transfer portal. Probable UA target. USC has quite of few of his ex-HS team mates so I would not be shocked if he ends up there.

Which schools have developed a rapport with Wertz early in the process?

“Relationships wise, Arizona I have a pretty good relationship with because coach [Justin] Gainey was my lead recruiter at Santa Clara and he’s now one of the assistants at Arizona so they kind of had a jump on that part,” Wertz said.

Has he started to develop any strong relationships with the coaches involved?

"I've talked to Arizona a lot," Juzang said. "Coach [Sean] Miller a lot and coach [Mick] Cronin a lot and coach [Chris] Beard a lot. Those three head coaches, I've been talking to them a good bit."

UK would be the worst for showcasing the style of play he wants to play. He wants to get more shots on the perimeter, UK wants their bigs solely down low.

Washington State picked up a scorer.

The 6-foot-1, 22 year-old Flowers ranked fourth in Division I in overall scoring this season with 588 points in 28 games, averaging 21 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals, while shooting 39% from 3.

One time I received at job offer in Fresno at the top of the salary chart.

I turned it down.

But do have to say, FSU has had some pretty good sports programs at various times. Their football coach at one time was a candidate to coach at the UA, I think when Tomey was fired. Think his mom lived in Tucson.

I think the coach you are referring to is Pat Hill. He was the OC at Arizona in 90-91. He was a good coach. Would play anywhere anytime. Think I remember some upset of highly ranked teams.
