One final note on the PAC12 tournament for those that make the drive from Tucson/Phx up to Las Vegas each year. The Beale street/I40 interchange has become a traffic jam headache over the years (return trip from Vegas) . Last year it took me 45 minutes to get from State Route 68 to I40.
This year I found an easy detour around the Beale street mess. Driving southbound on 93 take state highway 68 and travel west about 2.5 miles to Aztec road. Turn left on Aztec and travel south until the road ends. Turn left onto Shinarump road which then takes you straight to I40 (right across from the Nucor steel mill). I estimated I cut 30 minutes off the return trip.
