You mean I wasn't the only one who noticed this??

D Hurley's sideline demeanor and antics are hard to watch.

Just a reminder for the guy that says UCONN has been dominate for 30 years.

Well Dan here is your record after your first 3 years at UCONN:
16-17 No Tourney
19-12 No Tourney
15-8 Covid Year Tourney

We would fire Dan Hurley if he had that record here. Instead we can bitch about Tommy not making it past the sweet 16 in his first 3 years.

Hurley's track record is indisputable, and who knows how many more rings he might rack up if he remains at UConn?

But he's also a jackass.

So we get a shot of Tad Fucking Boyle celebrating, TWO shots of Washington St., but the best they do for us is Clemson scoring on us?!

Fuck this.

Gotta say that's a stacked UConn team. The final half was reminiscent of the Women's final. Clark gets a hot start and then shut down late and no hope for Iowa.

Also SC, like UConn, was a stacked team with even the bench players, freshmen even, coming in an hitting big shots and playing shut-down D.

I think the key to UConn's victory was that they seldom needed to double team Edey when he got the ball; this allowed the defense to extend on the perimeter and shut down PU's three-point attempts. PU averaged 8 made threes per game in the tourney, but made only 1; even more impressive, PU only attempted 7!!

When Arizona played PU in December, the big task was to shut down Edey as much as possible; and, in the first half they succeeded with strong D from Ballo/Krivas, and quick double-teaming when ever the ball went inside to him. At the time, PU was not known for three-point shooting, and it appeared that Arizona was accomplishing it's goal. But PU shot 10/24 from three, and that broke down Arizona's whole strategy.

Arizona shot 52% FG's (32/62) & 38% (6/16) Threes, Arizona assisted on 24 of 32 made FG's - AZ's centers (15 points) were 7/11 FG's - That's good offense, scoring primarily off designed sets!!!

PU shot 54% FG's (35/65) & 42% (108/24) Threes, PU assisted on 22 of 35 made FG's - Edey (22 points) was 8/15 FG's - That's good offense BEACUSE OF PERIMETER SHOOTING!!

I'm sure that much more went into UConn's strategy development vs PU, but, certainly the AZS/PU game was an important lesson!!!

Seeing Purdue called PU is hilarious to me.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
