No doubt the SEC and PAC are #1 and #2. If the SEC champion had 2 losses, no way they leave them out. Well I think the same about the PAC champion

I am also a subscriber though that if you cant win your conference you shouldn't get a shot at the natty but hey, that's just me (so bye Miss St)

Nothing that stokes my fire more than the constant condescension from Bristol.

Cute little shows they've got on. Never watch 'em.

On the College GameDay season preview this morning, but not only did Herbie pick ASU as PAC-12 champs and into the playoff as we already knew,
but Desmond Howard picked Stanford to win the National Championship.

They discussed about 5 teams that could win the PAC-12. Arizona was not even mentioned.

OMG, I've never heard anything so absurd. Stanford very likely won't even win the PAC12 North.

Corso just teared up big time - they found a film of him coaching Navy back in the '60s.

They did a feature on a Cienega player who plays for Army - Edgar Allen Poe. Great kid and family, his brother Christian is also on Army

A total of four of my son's ex-teammate from Cienega on the field today (Two Army, two Navy), and one from Sabino.

http://tucson.com/sports/high-school/fo ... 0dc4c.html

December 11, 2015 7:30 am • By Daniel Gaona

Four years ago at this time, Daniel Gonzales and Edgar Poe were just two weeks removed from playing together in the Division II state championship game. The two best friends could be seen walking the hallways at Cienega High School, laughing and wearing the same colors.

Not anymore.

Gonzales and Poe are rivals facing off this weekend in the midst of one of college football’s biggest spectacles: Saturday’s Army-Navy game.

“It’s a pretty awesome experience just to know that one of my best friends from high school is going to be on the other team,” said Gonzales, a junior linebacker at Navy. “The first time, I remember the flyover and just hearing the planes roar as they went over, and then the helicopters for Army. That was an amazing experience.

“You can feel the energy in the game. It’s more than just a normal football game.”

Saturday’s game features several other players with Southern Arizona ties.

Sabino graduate Jeremy Timpf stars as one of Army’s top defensive players, while Poe’s younger brother, Christian, is a freshman wide receiver for the Black Knights.

Luke Holley, a Cienega product, is a sophomore wide receiver at Navy.

To be fair it's probably the most interesting game of the week. This week kinda sucks. No games between ranked teams. And it's being played at the Bristol Speedway in Tennessee and it will be the most attended game in American team sports history with probably over 140000 people there.

Happy start to the college football season!

Yes they are at Bama today, yes they won't likely talk about the cats, yes I care far less about watching this show than I did even 5 years ago, but I love today because it represents the start of a 8-9 month sports calendar for teams and sports that I love to watch!

Ditto.

The stretch between the end of softball or college baseball season and the beginning of college football season is just brutal.
